The exemption is simply to stop the Indian (or British!) person from paying their social security contributions in two countries at the same time. Sensible! To quote @mrjamesob.bsky.social , "the lie is halfway round the world before the truth has got its trousers on". 😳 www.gov.uk/government/p...

Let’s just remind ourselves about Farage’s big meal ticket idea again. And no, this isn’t about how the Tories did it, this is just Brexit reality. And Farage would make the deal *even worse*. Pariah status, unreliable, ruined UK howling about immigration and moaning that everything is broken.

Politicising child abuse is really disgusting. There have been many failures here and abroad and I am sure there will be more in the future. I am really not coping with politics at the moment.

Does anyone think that Labour has completely blown it? Or can they recover? I hope they can because the alternative would be horrendous.

“The gap between what the party promised and what it delivered was so great it finally pushed me over the edge” says Tim Montgomerie about the Tories. So he joined Reform. Another party cobbled together from ruinous ignorance and ugly fantasies about immigration control. Harvesting hatred for power.

It really is very odd, I used to consider myself in the centre ground of politics. These days it seems I am very left wing. Has politics shifted much further to the right or have I moved further to the left????
