Got a stain on one of my shirts so I added an embroidered bee to disguise it. I find that I don't necessarily have to cover the entire stain, just enough to trick the eye. I'm sure I'll get more stains over time, so I will end up with either an army of bees or a menagerie of insects.

Plugging along on the snake patch. I'm trying out a sashiko stitch and I'm quite pleased with how it's coming along.

A partly done stylized snake embroidery on grey upcycled fabric. The snake outline is in blue-green yarn. The inside of the snake is partly done in a type of "one stitch" (hitomezashi) sashiko stitch pattern called kawari kikkōzashi. The stitch gives the impression of stretched out hexagons, which works pretty well as snake scales.
The eyes of the stylized snake are violently pink. There are pencil and chalk marks everywhere indicating that more is planned.

Playing around with fluffifying a carpenter bee.

3 messy ink sketches of progressively fluffier carpenter bees. The bee labeled normal has relatively normal proportions and is a side view. Bee labeled fluffy is definitely hairier with less well defined wings. Fluffy bee is from a head on perspective. Bee labeled "is only fluff" is also a head on view but it is the squishmallow equivalent of a carpenter bee. It's almost a perfect circle with chubby lil legs and lil wings sticking out.

I've been turning some doodles into embroidery. They'll eventually be made into patches for visible mending or decoration.
