Had a fantastic time at #BARS2026 Day 2: manuscript editing, the Gothic, and Tolkien too. If you weren't able to attend my workshop you can access all the materials here: drive.google.com/drive/folder... Email me at h.catterall@wordsworth.org.uk if you'd like to chat about your ideas!

So pleased to be listening to Ruth Abbott discussing her new facsimile edition of DCMS 16, created in collaboration with the Wordsworth Trust. #BARS2026

Forgive my cup of coffee and my chaotic notes for today... Come and find me at #BARS2026 for a chat about your work, and come along to my lunchtime workshop about turning your research into a public engagement project!

#bars2026 has provided some amazing pin badges (as well as papers of course) generously supplied by Wordsworth Grasmere. In my defence 'Team Shelley' I picked up for @drbeard79.bsky.social inspired by his excellent @bradfordlitfest.bsky.social talk!!

Arrived at #BARS2026 today after a full morning of travel and was delighted to pop into Winterbourne House at lunchtime. A fantastic panel on Wordsworthian Transport in the afternoon plus a thought-provoking lecture from Mary Favret - can't wait for Day 2!

One of the best days of the academic year, spent visiting my MA students at the literary houses in the region at which they are engaging in work experience. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful partners, including Brantwood, Wordsworth Grasmere and the National Trust 📚🍃
