What you have to understand about Romney is that he's very sincere about opposing Trumpian corruption and autocracy, he just thinks that, on balance, the destruction of American democracy is less bad than expanding Medicaid or abortion rights. It's not even hypocrisy, just a useless set of values.

most people don’t realize that having a readily available, even kinda-accurate answer to “how many Asian women under 40 with a college degree live in Pomona” is a world-historic achievement that requires an industrial scale, heaven & earth moving effort. it is on par with CERN. not hyperbole.
