It's my birthday! Farewell to my 20s, you were deeply chaotic years. Level 30 brings promise of... more chaos, probably!

I'm smiling at the camera! I have curly brown hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. Wearing a silver and sapphire necklace and trying to not be blinded by the sun. No make-up worn!

My cat Cookie isn't doing very well ;; Poor girl is struggling to keep down food and doesn't trust food/drink after some thyroid med issues, and her breathing's hard now. She's getting an x-ray in the morning. I'm very worried for my girl. Hoping that she's got something easily treatable. ❤️

Cookie dozing all cuddled up on the edge of the sofa. Brown tabby cat, paw outstretched and digging into sofa.

Cookie lying on the kitchen floor in fluffy glory, looking up at me like "what?"

Cookie sitting on her cardboard sofa, glaring at me for taking her picture.

Cookie spread belly up on the floor in front of the fire, cosy and demanding pets.

Cookie and Misty sleep on my parent's sofa. Cookie is an older tabby stretching her claws across the armrest, Misty is a.. greyish tortie ish cat curled up in a little fuzzy ball.

Yesterday was a VERY delicious birthday! We have so much cake oh my god Been very much overwhelmed with love for my friends and partner today ❤️❤️❤️

A chocolate cake with brown ganache icing. Blue and pink candles are lit, and pink and white hearts form a border. It says 'happy 29th birthday!' in blue icing, with a heart!

We got my everyday engagement ring ❤️ It's so pretty! I hadn't considered how beautiful cabochon sapphires can be. This one has some facets in it, so when it catches the light, it practically glows.

A sapphire cabochon sits atop a golden ring on the fourth finger (where engagement rings sit). It has two sets of three small diamonds both sides.

The same cabochon ring, but in a black ring box.

We had a lunar eclipse! Have a couple pics from ~3:40am. It's a shame I can't share the more zoomed-out ones for privacy reasons - from afar, the moon genuinely looked bright red instead of coppery!

The moon coloured red during the lunar eclipse, with slight brightness on the left side. A bright "star", aka Saturn, is seen in the top right.

A later picture of the same lunar eclipse. The white glow on the left side has decreased, meaning the moon looks more like solid copper-red.

Saw a hell of a show yesterday! RIP Kevin from Bendigo.

The entrance to the Regent Theatre in Melbourne. There's a bright green/black/white neon sign hanging over the classical theatre steps that reads "welcome to the netherworld".

An image of the stage, lit in purple and red with purple and green lights around the sides. The stage has a neon red/white sign reading BETELGEUSE, BETELGEUSE, with an arrow pointing at a gap in the curtains pouring green smoke.

The theatre's ceiling and upper rows. It's classical architecture, and every nook and cranny is lit in purple and green.

A shot from the intermission on the way back to the stage. Dark rows of seats and hundreds of people await the show's continuance. The stage is showing a black and white spiral swirling, lit with lots of green and purple. There's a slight haze to the theatre from all the lights.

The best thing about Easter is getting to hang out with my caaaaats

Cookie half asleep on the sofa's arm, hugging the arm and lazily looking at me.

Misty, halfway through rolling around the floor, pauses to show her very fluffy belly. She looks sheepish.

Cookie, flobbed on the floor, stares at me. This is her way of telling me to pet her.

Misty stares down the phone, all fat kitty sat on her own paws. She looks kinda serious!

Misty, a soft fat grey tabby, seen through green fake Christmas tree branches and silver tinsel.

Cookie, a teenage longhaired tabby, gives the camera a closeup stare.

My parents' christmas tree! It's a Huge green tree with silver tinsel and gold & silver baubles in many shapes and sizes.

My parents' second Christmas tree. This is a much smaller green christmas tree, and despite being decorated in reds and golds with gold tinsel, you can't tell much of the colour - the red lights colour the whole tree and room in crimson. Looks kind of evil!

Bushfire smoke has reached Melbourne.

Skyscrapers in the foreground. Above them, the sky is coloured orange-brown with smoke, and the sun is coloured a strange reddish orange. Bushfire smoke over Melbourne.

Place 4: Well I'd made up my mind when we went to go up and out of the 6 lifts, only 2 were working, the walls were scratched, and the lift doors were rusted. The place itself was OK, but really dated & needs a bit more work than we'd like. Shit kitchen. Also too many bugs! How about the VIEW tho

A view from 43 floors up showing Melbourne's city centre. The sea stretches along the far right in the distance, and between the urban forest of skyscrapers, you can glimpse the Yarra and Albert Park's lake. The sky is warm and blue, with few clouds, but the scene is still overcast by shadows from offscreen.

Heather [Han] @hanhula.com · 07/12/2024

Place 3: Stunning. Genuinely - this is LOVELY. It's out of budget right now and the building ALSO has an outdoor pool, but this area is great, accessible, walkable, and has fab public transport. If the price drops here, I'd love this place. Kitchen's not AS good, though. Here's the view.

A wide shot over the top of multiple skyscrapers. You can see Melbourne's docks and their bay to the left, and the entire city skyline in the centre of the image. It's a cloudy, overcast day, so the clouds look awesome.

PIE UPDATE FANTASTIC. DELICIOUS. SPLENDIFOROUS. 10/10 no notes, Cherry Pie in Docklands do fantastic work.

THE PIE, with half remaining. There's a box of breadsticks next to it. It's a little haphazardly cut into four slices because someone gave me the responsibility to cut it and I panicked.

The sunset was beautiful today

Dusky blue sky with peachy streaks of cloud drift over the water. On the horizon, skyscrapers stand tall. The view is reflected into the mirror-smooth water that takes up the bulk of the image.

The Cow in a Tree sculpture, featuring a bizarrely-proportioned cow (tiny head, large body) stuck upside down in a tree, is silhouetted against a sunset that goes from warm orange to dusky blue. It's streaked with pink and peach wisps of cloud. Near the tree's base, you can see the silhouette of the bridge in the background, and skyscraper silhouettes to the left and right.

Another sunset view. The sun is lower here, it's a darker image with more pink and purple in the sky and only a vague hint of cloud. This time, we look over wooden posts sticking out of the water. These are remnants of the old docks that have been capped with white caps as both art and protection, I think. The water is silvery-dark as it reflects the sunset above. The city's silhouette paints the horizon.

A very vibrant peach to purple sunset is the backdrop for the silhouette of a crane. To the right, you can see the background silhouette of the bridge. The foreground is in shadow, but shows a path and the raised grassy sections in them. A building and some trees block the left of the image with shadow.

tw: us & aus politics holy shit the greens party in my state are as mad about this as we are

An email titled "We won't let that happen here" from the Victorian Greens party. It contains the text: Hey Heather,

Hope you're ok.

We know what you’re feeling because we’re feeling it too.
Fury and rage. Deep sadness. Anxiety, frustration, confusion. We’re in for another 4 years of chaos, stripping away human rights, climate degradation and - it’s just unbelievable that a convicted felon is back in the White House!

If you’re feeling hopeless, we understand. We’re doing lots of reading and talking with each other, as we sure you are too.

Our people-driven campaigning is what makes us powerful and the best hope we have against the increasing far-right.

fun fact: hannelore likes longer outfits & coats because she can hide more things in them. she's been put in so many situations that her cloaks now basically carry over a month of supplies! she's CONSTANTLY passing out treats too she has been known to end arguments with sweets to the face. or books

Hannelore in a random Dawntrail quest. New graphics! FFXIV hyur that has pale skin, blue eyes, purple eyeshadow and faint face tattoos, light blue to white gradient wavy hair, and a white tiara. She's wearing dark blue and silver armour that's somewhat like a dress. She's standing in a cave.

The same Warrior of Light as the previous, but her armour has shifted to a different armoured dress. Her hands are crossed over her chest and she's looking down, eyes closed, as she hovers in the air in prayer. Brilliant white light explodes around her.

The same Warrior of Light, now as a Summoner. She wears a dark blue coat with a white fur collar, and an ornate silver tiara-like horn on her head. She smiles vaguely into the camera while holding her glowing purple book to the left; the whole image is tinted purple by the intensity of the book's runic magic.

The same Warrior of Light, now as a miner. She stands in a peaceful pathway with greenery and buildings in the distance, dressed in a demure blue dress with white gloves. She is partially turned away from the viewer, looking over her shoulder to offer them a smile. A straw hat rests on one side of her head, tied with a blue ribbon. She rests a parasol over her shoulder. It's giving 'posh victorian era girl gets her first pickaxe'.

There have been some very pretty clouds here

Dark remnant storm clouds paint the sky steely grey-blue, and orange peeks through the edge. Cityscape and sea beneath.

Bright sun shines through a shaded wooden dockside walkway as it begins to set. The blue sky is full of wispy white clouds. The sea shines like silver. A boat is docked to the right.

Over the sea and cityscape, dark and white stormclouds mix in a mess of stormy weather. The texture is violently different throughout. Beneath, it's hazy. Rain.

Over a dark nighttime cityscape and river view, lit by people's homes and streetlights, dark clouds frame streaks of brilliant orange and pink from the sunset. The sun itself is gone from view, but the colours it leaves behind are vibrant.

some slightly more spoilery (but nothing HARDCORE SPOILERS) screenshots of my Rook! #DragonAgeTheVeilguard #DATVSpoilers

My Rook, with her indigo hair and face tattoos and dressed in matching Antivan Crow colours, looks sadly to the lower left corner. The lighting is soft.

My Rook, eyebags and dark lips on full display, now dressed in shining silver-purple-blue armour (Crow colours), speaks: "I'm surprisingly bad at knowing when I should quit."

My Rook, still in armour, stands under dark greenish-blue lighting. Dark clouds fill the sky, and a ballista stands to her left. She frowns in solemn determination at the camera as a Warden says 'Wait for it...'

My Rook looks on edge towards the camera, shadows and blood framing the scene. She's backing away from something. Behind her, Davrin in full armour has his shield raised and is also backing away from the same thing. Rook says: "This is going well. Surrounded by friends.."

The weather was nice today

Two fat pigeons stand on the edge of the wooden docks, examining a boat-shaped floating nature preserve for Australian wildlife. The city's skyline hangs out in the background. It's not quite sunset, but it's close.

The sun pours over a shot from the city docks looking back at a faraway Marvel Stadium. There's not a cloud in the blue, blue sky. Boats frame the image, and more boats exist in the expanse of water between dock and stadium.

The sun pours through green trees and across a pavement next to a building, leaving long shadows over the stone. It's a city street, but the warm light and blue sky make it pretty.

The dice gods have smiled down on me! My Lindorm Dice from the Short Rest kickstarter came in!

A green and gold book-like dice holder bearing the title Traveller's Findings and a golden shimmery illustration of a campfire in the woods. On top of it are two special Short Rest coins and a brown-red leather bookmark with similar gold illustrations and the words "Remember to take a short rest".

Five sets of dice are in view. The focal point is on a set of blue and gold lagoon-like dice inked with gold numbers and a set of reddish-pink-gold dice inked in silver.

Five sets of dice are in view. The focal point is on a set of dark teal and purple dice streaked with gold and translucent like seaglass. They are inked in gold.

Four sets of dice are in view. The focal point is on a set of green-gold-teal dice inked in gold that remind me of forests and summer days, and a set of blue-turquoise-gold dice with blue glitter and silver ink that remind me of waterfalls in sunlight.
