🔪 Good morning survivors of the week! 🩸 It's another cozy rainy day, let's git inside somewhere cozy and hang out with pumpkins and skeletons. Don't pick on them though, please!

It's a cozy cloudy day, perfect time to partake on the dark arts! Today I'm summoning up some of my Monster Party redraws for all you fans!

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

👻It's wicked Wednesday my fiendish friends!🎃 Last night I finally got a chance to start our Halloween decorating. Makes me want to get more house skeletons to hang out with. 💀 So here's a skelefriend I made for @cupohjoe.bsky.social 's skeleton swap a couple years back. They're good company!

Happy pixel art skeleton with red eyes and blood oozing out of their eye and mouth. Maybe they were just drinking some kool aid. They also may have been there for a while because there's webs hanging off them. However they're still alive, the heart inside their chest tells me so.

🎃Good morning creepy crew! 💀 I'm feeling fall extra hard on this lovely Friday, so I'm breaking out pumpkins I previously made for @cupohjoe.bsky.social 's pumpkin patch. It makes me want to make a little horror RPG where you're up against grotesque mutated pumpkins.

Pumpkin on a red stalk with glowing eyes and sharp teeth dripping blood. Also featuring an endorned purple border with tiny pumpkins in the corner.

I have a well-paying sound design (SFX) project I'm looking for a partner on, but the requirements are very specific. I'm creating sound effects in the style of late-era PSX and early PS2 games such as Final Fantasy X / Final Fantasy Tactics, as well as modern retro-styled games like Minecraft Dungeons. Think *heavy* use of noise manipulation, synthesis, and melodic writing to create all kinds of glitters, chirps, slashes, explosions, etc. without using ANY FOLEY whatsoever. Yes, everything must be created WHOLLY from synthesis!

If you have experience doing this, please reach out to me: aaversa@gmail.com I *don't* need to see or hear an entire portfolio or generalized demo reel. I *only* need to hear exact specific demos of sound effects in this style that you have synthesized from scratch. Huge bonus points if you can briefly tell me about your process / what tools you used (X synth, Y grain shifter, Z reverb) so I can get an understanding of your experience level.

Lastly, I'm *not* talking about 8-bit style SFX which are pretty different aesthetically. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, head over to the site in the comments and you'll hear what I mean.
