As someone’s who has (in a previous life) worked on machine musicianship, and is fascinated by creative cyborgs, the thing I find disappointing about so much present-day ‘AI’ ‘culture’ is not the abandonment of a human exceptionalism,* but the utter lack of poetry, joy, sensuality and playfulness.

Not only does the Boss PW-3 wah have an interesting design for mechanically coupling the paddle to the potentiometer (a design it shares with the EV-30), its potentiometer also has a bespoke resistive track. Not something you could easily replicate with an off-the-shelf part. #thingsidoforart
