I had a homebirth with baby number 2 with a LM who’s also an ARNP. I got the same amount of care after the baby came as before for eight weeks. Biweekly visits from the team until eight weeks when I was able to see them in person. A lactation consultant and referral to massage. MUCH BETTER!

I suffered an extreme back pain as a result of an improperly placed epidural that only worked on half my body. So I got to give birth with my tailbone breaking and tearing 4° with only 50% pain relief. And then I got ignored. It took months to get over the physical and mental trauma of that birth.

My obstetrician had assured me that the prescription pain pills were not contraindicated with breast-feeding but when I finally got the baby to her pediatrician, he said immediately that it was the pain pills in what little milk I was making that were causing her to sleep and not nurse and not grow

They had advertise that they had nurses to help you make the transition home, but they didn’t tell me that they had canceled that program and not updated their website. My baby suffered failure to thrive for three days because I wasn’t making any milk and they had given me prescription pain pills

Within an hours of giving birth to my first child, I was completely ignored by everyone in the hospital. I tore 4° on the baby was not latching, but they didn’t seem to care.

I did not realize until recently that their freshwater comes from desalination plants. Their building industry is based on cheap labor from immigrants working in despicable conditions. It does not seem like a very good place, but that doesn’t justify war.
