It’s time for the start of a new thread! ✨ Tomorrow morning me and @koanshi.bsky.social will be getting the Eurostar to #DisneylandParis ans staying for 6 nights - this thread will be documenting cute photos and my thoughts on the many food/drinks we try. Very excited.

The movie ends with Doctor Doom in prison, the lights go out - a spotlight shines down as Robert Downey Jr starts doing jazz hands... "And now, ladies and gentlemen, the six merry murderesses of the RAFT SUPER JAIL... ...In their rendition of DOOM Block Tango"

I like the Jon Watts Spider-Man movies, and I like the Star Wars sequels (not including IX). But if this isn't about Rey or Kylo who the fuck is this about, what Skywalker is left????

Treating this "My 9 Games That Shaped Me" trend, as the 9 games that shaped my childhood rather than modern favourites. These are all pretty nostalgic for me.

Genuine question; Has there ever been an in-universe lore explanation for Geppetto and Minnie Mouse having joint custody over Figaro - the little black cat? Or am I supposed to believe these are two separate cats with the same name? #Disney #DisneyLore #FigaroTheCat

Something that's kinda insane - is that I've been struggling with digesting dairy for a few years, thought it was some kind of intolerance or minor allergy as you can get those at any point. Been drinking a daily glass of kefir for last few weeks and it seems to have completely fixed my problems???

Going to see the new Resident Evil movie in IMAX tomorrow and I'm very excited. Not because I'm a Resident Evil fan (I'm not, I've only ever played a bit of 2 remake) but because I'm a Zach Cregger fan (I LOVED Barbarian / Weapons)

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗮𝗱 (𝟭𝟵𝟰𝟵) + Post-war Disney is always a bit of a weird time in animation but both of these short stories are delightful and hold up pretty well. - Mr Winkie. ⭐⭐⭐

Mr Toad suffers from "mania" a condition that just makes him hyperfixate on things - like here he is a little obsessed with cars and keeps pretending to drive one uncontrollably. He's so real for that.

Ichabod Crane Vs The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, we're going to Disneyland Paris for Halloween so this was very much research.

This is Mr. Winkie and I do not like him - I think he deserves the death penalty for everything he puts Mr Toad through

𝗦𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟮) ~ Feels safe as the first Splatoon spin-off, it's more of the same and it's my least favourite in the series. - The soundtrack is bad and mostly spooky ominous ambience?? - Weak character customisation. - Last chunk of levels had a huge difficulty spike. ⭐⭐1/2

During my uni days, I went to a neighbours' student house party and someone skipped a song I had queued on their spotify playlist to play Ed Sheeran's "shape of you" so I revenge-skipped it to be petty and the entire room of strangers boo'd me. I then left and went home because rancid vibes.

Seeing so many of my favourite IPs coming back but riddled with Gen AI is so upsetting (Professor Layton, Crazy Taxi) - and I think I've settled on maybe buying them used/pre-owned. If they're using it, I'm not supporting them and I'm prioritising games that don't; but I also deserve to have fun.

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘀 (𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟲) + Kachow + I actually really love this movie's soundtrack. ~ I understand why this movie landed for a lot of Americans in small towns that are "off the map" but uhh, can't say that's something I really relate to. ⭐⭐⭐

where do I find two little italian guys who will change my tyres or whatever

This movie teaches kids that cow-tipping is okay because they fart and thats funny ??? I don't know either

𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝘇𝘇 (𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟳) + I am a fan of the Dolmio Pasta Sauce product placement - Unfortunately think the Cornetto trilogy has just been crazily over-hyped for me and I only watched this because my dad put it on when I was staying with him. ⭐⭐⭐

𝗚𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗮 (𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟯) + A little obsessed with the lighting and set design in this prison / mental institute that has a swimming pool that is so dark the security guards can't see you in it. - Why is this movie called Gothika? I always assumed that was a character's name, but it isn't. ⭐⭐⭐

going to tell people this is a leaked screenshot of storm in avengers doomsday

if you hide in this one dark corner of the prison swimming pool they cant see you

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻 (𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗳𝗹𝗶𝘅, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) - Guys it's 2026, you cannot be calling your antagonist "the ____ man" without me thinking he's "the peepee poopoo man". - When the most enticing shot in your movie is a hand poking through a letterbox I think you should maybe not release it. ⭐1/2

I wish I was lying when I said this was the only interesting shot in this movie

this is the second horror/thriller movie with Adam Scott I have disliked this year (the other being Hokum) - this is worse than that.

Robert De Niro is here, probably having his lines read to him for a nice paycheck. His performance is forgettable.

𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘅 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗠𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) + A love letter to Slasher Movies + Visually very cool + The commentary on companies rebooting dead IPs feels so relevant. ~ Didn't fully understand it, and didn't love it as much as "I Saw The TV Glow" but I have no regrets going to see it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

shout out to both this and spiderman both having important air vents

Lots of cool scenes with painted backgrounds and almost intentionally bad VFX to give an "other-worldy" vibe.

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗠𝗮𝗻: 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) + Hell yeah, Sadie Sink's character. + Hulk / Punisher / Yelena being here make this feel the most connected the MCU has been in years. + There's so many good Frank Castle moments in this and I have a soft spot for The Punisher. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spider-Man being a little depressed usually makes for the most compelling stories and I'm sorry he had to go through this but it was really good

I shouldn't like Frank Castle as much as I do considering he's just "man with gun" but you don't understand hes so babygirl with the way he's barking at people to intimidate them

oh the park bench scene - absolutely obsessed

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘆+) + The songs are a huge improvement over the last one of these and have been stuck in my head. ~ Writing is a mess but it's equally very camp - With all respect what the fuck do you mean the Cheshire Cat had a kitten and it's voiced by Awkwafina ⭐⭐⭐

due to time travel in the last one of these the mad hatter is now evil and wants to kill everyone or something who knows

theres too many characters this time around that they keep having to write some of them out for 30mins and bring them back in

Here is Chessy, child of the Cheshire Cat

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗱𝘆𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘆 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) + I'm not a Nolan head, but I love greek mythology and cool swords and boats so naturally I loved this. + I also completely forgot that the second Percy Jackson book is basically just The Odyssey, so this being Nolan's Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters really cracked me up. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love when Nolan looked directly into the camera and said "You're the only Odd that I see."

can we bring back armour as fashion please? can this be acceptable office attire

The whole sequence with Circe might be one of my favourite sequences in a movie in years.

As the Pussycat Dolls once said; "Be careful what you wish for, 'cause you just might get it"

This movie loves to play with dark shadowy silhouettes and framing and it's so so good
