it is bothersome how often everything we said would happen, happens

At this "A.i." hearing at the NYC City Hall and so far it's all goofy talk about Skynet/Terminator "A.i." superintelligence scenarios and nothing about actual massive current harms of regular schmegular trash "A.i."

Pinocchio I'd say is my favourite of his films in a long time.

Yeah I wasn't a fan. Del Toro is someone whose films largely fall short for me, despite being so perfect aesthetically.

What, aesthetically, draws you toward a table at comics conventions and what puts you off?

The main issue I have with Del Toro's version is Oscar Isaac's casting tbh. I love him usually, but he is just waaay too old. Victor is a college drop out. I genuinely think the character and book takes on a whole new meaning when you remember he's like... 20?

Yes and running from his responsibility to this life to the point where it kills the woman he missed out on having a life with. Then when the creature asks for a companion, he kills it at the mere thought of them reproducing. DUDE HAS BAGGAGE.

Yes he mentions him looking beautiful once and then every other sentence in the book is about how awful he is, even from a distance lol.

✨ Hamish Steele ✨ Go-Man Vs. the Star Dragon OUT NOW! @hamishsteele.bsky.social · 16h

There's also no reason for Victor to make him 8 feet tall. That's on him.

One of the things most tantalising about the Frankenstein book is that it never mentions any specifics on how the creature is created. You can infer electricity and stitching but equally interpret that Victor uses magic, for he rejects traditional science and is inspired by books on alchemy.

I'll say this about the characters in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. They all take how a random bird reacts to their rambles way too personally.

I genuinely think Digger would look more interesting if Tom Cruise was doing the same performance but with no prosthetics at all. He's already a 64 year old multi-millionare. He's what they look like.

Aw, gosh. Found a rogue timelapse from Freestyle! If I remember right, this was a test page. I had inked my previous books traditionally and wanted to save myself some scanning time, but knew I'd need to find a digital process that still felt natural (and didn't fling me into Detail Hell).

I actually like that for a while it seemed like they made Meowth the mascot of regional variants. It just never seems to stick.

I find Meowth a curious Pokémon. It's was in almost every episode of the anime, yet rarely ever felt like a mascot. He's the literal CAT to Pikachu's MOUSE but never felt like Pikachu's real rival. Everyone likes Meowth but never feels like they're any people's favourite. He should've been in Smash!

I am lowkey shocked Dan Harmon is autistic because I found the baby-ish plinky-plonky music that played every time Abed did anything "adorkablely" autistic, more offensive than anything I'd ever seen in Big Bang Theory. If anything, it made me appreciate Jim Parsons performance more.

Yeah the issue plaguing hollywood is bland, flat lighting and colouring, things filmed for "coverage" rather than lighting and shadow being part of the storytelling. Accusing Eggers of doing that is hilarious.
