Apple Music continues to be an otherwise fine service with an infuriating interface. The number of ways iOS has of throwing away what I’m currently listening to and deciding play something else is immense. Worse: this automated and careless destruction of the user’s state is irrevocable.

I can’t believe we’re dunking on Kai of all people and I think this conversation is silly, but I’ll say that drinks did come up during interviews I was involved in. Because tradition was to start by checking a candidate had one or offer to go get one with them because they might be thirsty.

As much as it tries, living in the city can never truly erase my upbringing. (I am not from Nevada, but I grew up far enough outside of urban California that I take this assessment as a compliment.) My dialect continues to drift over the years but I’ll give up “crawdad” after hell freezes over.

Okay while disagree with almost every *reason* Pete Hegseth does what he does. I actually have no objection to a government funded screening program with government funded HRT optional for anyone who wants it. I just don’t think it should be only for testosterone, men, cis people, or the military.

Rosa Parks' refusal to stand up and give her seat up to a white passenger on the bus was not some random, one time act taken because she was tired. Her action was part of a preconceived NAACP Bus campaign for equality and Parks was a dedicated activist. "Small" actions matters.

Anyone can check, the government certainly knows. This is available on consumer level maps apps. You can watch live as the limited ships going through the strait check in at checkpoints prior to transit. If the president doesn’t know it means he wasn’t told or didn’t want to know.

You can try and parse what the governments are saying or you can just look at where the ships are. Very few tankers (red) are passing through the strait and the few that do are either Iranian flagged or a very limited number of escorted vessels.

As of today, I’m now certified for any cabin crew position across a fleet of ~500 aircraft. Relatedly, I’ve been scheduled to be on call with my airline starting 3am Thursday. This is just crew scheduling’s standard way of expressing a warm and hearty congratulations. Airlines are so sentimental.
