I think The Mirror’s mobile experience is definitely more frightening than those cute pigs!

A screenshot of The Mirror’s mobile experience, showing three different ads and one large “swipe for the next story” button. A relevant paragraph of text takes up roughly 20% of the screen.

@rincewind.run a suggestion for today’s QOTD? Page 195 of Small Gods: I wish I could’ve posted it yesterday.

“You’ve come to wage war on Omnia. This would not be a good idea.”

“From Omnia’s point of view, yes.”

“From everyone’s. You will probably defeat us. But not all of us. And then what will you do? Leave a garrison? Forever? And eventually a new generation will retaliate. Why you did this won’t mean anything to them. You’ll be the oppressors. They’ll fight. They might even win. And there’ll be another war. And one day people will say: why didn’t they sort it all out, back then? On the beach. Before it all started. Before all those people died. Now we have that chance. Aren’t we lucky?”

@samfromwendover.bsky.social As someone with a package currently in USPS rides around North Carolina, I’d love an explainer video about USPS distribution centers! Why in the world is Gastonia, NC the Bermuda Triangle for small boxes?

Just got our version of @jetlagthegame.bsky.social ‘s Hide and Seek!! So excited to play! @thewheatgerm.bsky.social - any thoughts on using a city’s bike share system? Boston has a ton of Bluebike locations, and we think a small game using that would be fun!

Here’s a good one! It’s a graph displaying humanity’s progress on the Lawson Criteria - effectively, how close are we to producing net-positive energy with fusion! From: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawson_...

@briamgilbert.bsky.social This feels like a think you know about already. Here you go though, just in case.
