The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) is one of the Milky Way’s closest galactic neighbors, and orbits around our home galaxy, at a distance of about 200,000 light-years from Earth. This new view of the SMC contains a multitude of layers of light including ultraviolet data from Swift (magenta and cyan), X-rays from the Chandra X-ray Observatory and ESA’s XMM-Newton (red, green and navy), infrared data from NASA’s retired Spitzer Space Telescope and ESA’s Herschel Space Observatory (orange), and optical data the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile (pink, peach and purple).

Unfortunately, Sanders is not getting ratio'd by people pointing out that the vast majority of able-bodied on welfare *do* work. The objections are "why did you use a white guy as your example" and "foreigners are the real welfare" and "Jews!" because of course it's Jews it's always Jews.

Incidentally, this part of NH-J's story is untrue. Or it's only true if you ignore federal funding, which is heavily targeted at poor districts. On balance, poor districts get more per-pupil funding. This isn't a matter of money. (Note: the GOP is trying to kill Fed support for poor districts.)

I don't have a subscription so can't gift link, but it's not a surprise that NM's "model for the nation" is already having issues. Quebec's daycare system was a mess too. There are some benefits but kids in the system show slightly *worse* outcomes and there aren't enough providers to go around.
