FB food memories: Smoked & mesquite grilled wings. Half with hot sauce, the other half with Elote seasoning. Of course some homemade buttermilk ranch dressing. We add crumbled Pt. Reyes bleu to the ranch. Great combo.

Proof positive that the Indeed job app algorithm sucks. I expect that jobs they’d push to me would, you know, slightly match my experience. My very detailed resume is in their system. Nowhere on it does it say that I’ve worked at a funeral home or that I have any experience as an embalmer 🙄😂

Me too, and we have several. But these are t cast iron. They’re heavy duty, for sure. I’m not even sure the company is still in business, tbh. But we got the set in ‘93.

FB food memories: So this one hit hard (in a good way). My grandmother taught me how to make dolmadas. That pot is from a set that she gave my wife and I for a wedding gift. Our daughter now has that pot at her apartment. So that’s literally 3 generations in one picture ❤️🙏

A year ago yesterday. After dinner on the wharf I took this pic of the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. My grandparents took my dad, aunt & uncles there as kids. I went as a kid. Then my daughter started going there as a kid. Now she goes to college a couple miles away ❤️

FB food memories: The taqueria inside our favorite local Mexican market (where I was at this morning) makes their own tortillas to order. $0.50 a piece. I usually get six. Griddled, wrapped in foil. Doesn’t get any fresher than that ❤️

Great memory. One day Tim came by my desk, said let’s go to North Beach for lunch. We went to the old Fior d’Italia. We walked in and there was only one other person there: Carlos Santana. Tim walked up to him, said hi, said let me introduce you to my friend (me). Wait, what??

I like Publix, too. We had a one night stop over in Knoxville. My wife wanted coffee, I needed a new water mug. We walked in and wow. I asked an employee where I could find a water mug. She said in the kitchen section. Section. 😂
