Hi #kidlitartpostcard ! This is an illustration from my dummy. I'm an author-illustrator, and I'm open to illustration projects as well. I'd love to work on anything with funny characters, and if it involves animals, that's a plus 😍 💗 hajaralami.com

Let me hope too that 2026 is the year I actually make an effort to find an agent (because I'm acting as if I'll randomly find them inside my closet one day) and get to draw more picture books. #childrensillustrator #literaryagent #kidlit

When I'm working with #authors on children's books I'm super focused that I find it hard to work on personal art. Like this one it took me ages to finish haha, I'd draw a line every now and then 😊 #kidlitart #picturebooks #kidlit #childrensbooks #kidlitillustration #kidsbooks #literaryagents

I want to write smart books. Some funny to make the kids laugh 😸 and some spooky to scare the heart out of kids 🙀. That would be the perfect balance for children 😁. #kidlit #PB

I have been part of many different communities during the last 10 years, but I have never seen a community that's more welcoming, beautiful, kind and humble than the #kidlit community, I'm genuinely impressed and I feel warm around all these sweet people.

Having a wish to taste a fish is achievable. But going on a fishing trip with a bear + big hunger & very little patience = a fishy disaster. In Rush's Fishy Day, Rush, a little boy, realized that fishing was just another word for waiting, so he had to find ways to make it fun. #SkyPitch #L #kidlit🎣

Everytime I revised, I felt different ways about my story, either I wasn't satisfied or unsure. but each time the story gets better, now I reached the point where I'm so satisfied and I was thinking even if no agent took it, I'm so proud and excited to not give up on it and self publish it. #kidlit
