Does anybody here remember Putin‘s attempt to force Ukraine into a OPEC-style cartell for crops & grain? Ukraine refused, as nobody trusted Putin. This, and the plans to join the EU, thus keeping ressources out of Putins hands, were major reason to attack. Nato was completely off the table!
