Shoe 90° breakdown for #Live2D 👟✨ Trying out a 90° breakdown of the shoe, from front to side view. Just to show how the shape shifts a bit across the angle. I also included the layer structure at the end in case it helps for rigging!

Oh! you’re using box select with the symmetry ruler on? Nice, that works too. I’ll try it later, thanks for the tip!

Important note: this technique only works correctly if your symmetry ruler is perfectly centered on the canvas. Here’s how I position the ruler exactly at the center of the canvas:

Two years using CSP… and I just found a horizontal reflect method that makes the process way smoother 😭🫠 For #Live2DArtist who still struggle with flipping and horizontally reflecting objects, this method might make things easier. #Live2D #VTuberAssets

When preparing and cutting the PSD, if I’m unsure whether a part is cut correctly, I usually test it directly in #Live2D like this (though it would be even better with additional deformers, etc.)

#Live2D tip: PSD Mask vs Live2D Clipping Issue A simple workflow to keep correct PSD visuals while preventing unwanted texture clipping in Live2D.

I tend to handle the cutting myself since it helps me understand how each part fits. I do understand your point though, and it makes a lot of sense XD Thanks for sharing your perspective! I rlly appreciate it 💖

#genask other than psd prep, do riggers typically require cmo3 prep as well (like cleaning up clipping masks and meshes), or are both services usually bundled 👀?

Been a Live2D rigger for a few years now and I’m curious how others handle this. How do you usually handle PSDs that aren’t Live2D ready? Fix it yourself and adjust price/ETA, or work with someone else to further prepare the PSD for Live2D? Art by @pairidaez67
