Had a great time at the Queer Games Showcase at the Seattle Interactive Media-lab yesterday leading some Exquisite Corpse Game Board making. I should hang out there more often but I'm so busy these days

Hearing multiple languages spoken in a given area makes me relax and feel safer because tolerance and acceptance of cultural differences is a baseline in most multicultural spaces Also languages sound cool. Humans can make so many noises with our mouths it's neat

I had to miss most of the NarraScope conference because I was working for FIFA which is a huge bummer but one of the nice things about so many internationals being in the city is that I get to hear people speak languages other than American English

Ended up on a training list for HIV care nurses and went to a conference that I was surprisingly prepared for bc of the public health related sexual health stuff I used to do with sex workers. Ofc there was a bunch of drug company swag. Presented without comment: the Gilead gummy bears

I apply to a lot of artist grants and residencies and therefore get a lot of rejection emails but the most confusing one came this morning, entirely in German, rejecting me from a study based residency I never applied for.

My experience in WA state interacting with advocacy, social services, and medical professionals that claim to support trans people is that they cherry pick who they will support based on how much it benefits them, if the person in question is socially connected, and discriminate based on race/vibes

The advisory board was not informed much of the work we are doing for this guide is unpaid, which is pretty normal for nonprofits benefiting off the oppression of the populations they work with. I'm happy the local science museum is curating science and technology related art but I had numerous meetings with them about including indigenous tech art in their exhibitions and they always said they didn't have funding. Meanwhile they're supporting white artists & technologists with stipends.
