My dad finally called me Kay for the first time today and it was during Mario Party when he was trying to steal a star from me and accidentally skipped the space for it. Mario Party, known for tearing friendships and families apart is what finally got me to be addressed properly post transition.

In this comic, Sam the cartoonist complains how all the "best of the year" lists come out in early December. The year isn't over yet! Stuff is still coming out!

He says, "It's December 30th. What if I draw the best comic of the year right now? What then huh? My craft just goes unrecognized?"

In the last panel, he returns to drawing his comics. He notes that if he draws the last two panels as close-ups, he won't have to draw any backgrounds. This is also true of this comic itself... The last two panels are close-ups with no backgrounds.
