I'm in Denmark. Showing up to an interview with coffee would be VERY rude. It'd suggest you don't believe they would offer you coffee at the interview. Not taking anything offered to drink at the interview is BAD. Showing up with your own is worse. Take their automat coffee if you want the job.

It'll never be flat out price fixing. Artists alleys are too different for that. Some might get 1000 stickers made, and others have 10 made, so obviously, expenses will also be very different. But as said, it gives you an idea of where the normal price range is.

I have occasionally shown up at cons without a price, and walked around my neighbouring tables looking at their prices to hit a reasonable price for mine. Because you don't want to price unreasonably low or way too high. But also keep in mind if something makes producing your thing different,

3rd for most unique design. 2nd for most mainstream appeal, I think. But yeah, maybe not for dark-fantasy. 1st might be second most mainstream but less cute and whimsical. But I really like 3rd for how unique it is. Mist be tricky to draw in action sequenses, though.

One of the other sad parts about the AI scraping of Cara, is how nobody reporting on this does basic research. All the news sites call it a "Photo App". Because the first article called it that. They don't bother actually looking at the app. Or do independent checks. They just copy the first one.

I suspect the real reason for the gnomes is that the author of that series very much is aware that there historically would have been gunpowder in the periods he used as inspiration. But the story tropes he used didn't allow for that.

Herge grew a lot as a person while making Tintin. You can tell how he basically accepts fan feedback and starts being considerably less racists during the run. Presumably because a fan politely wrote to him and asked for the future Blue Lotus to show actual China instead of the racist stereotype.

Honestly, shipping from outside the EU was already so bad most people won't buy low priced items. I bought from the Foglios store back when they had their big shout out. Should just have donated. My 40 USD order got a 50 USD "you have US items entering into Denmark" flat tax placed on top.

There goes one of the last true advantages of DeviantArt, it seems. This sucks. I used DA's folder options as a smaller gallery I could link fandoms to for my fanart. Because DA does do the gallery thing really well, and worked without you needing to log in. :(

Trust me, it's not about skils. I've had my art both stolen and traced about 25 years ago. Repeatedly. Look at my art, and then figure where my skill level was at when I was around 20. I was not amazing. I think mainly it's about being seen by young teens ready to trace said art.

Aeliakyu is doing a dress up event, and I could not resist. I picked her character Eve.

This started up as a sketch of a very 18th century mantua inspired outfit, going for the big black overdress elements you see in some of Eve's outfits as well as the pastel pink tones and elements of her super feminine style.
I ended up changing the design sketch from floor lenght to mid lower leg lenght. And then it raised to above the knees on the final version, because that seemed more like the character. So this went from 18th century themed to dark magical girl (with demon blood powers) themed.
