This flier is for the Dulce Fernandes film, Tales of Oblivion, screening on October 2, 2026 from 2-4pm at the GW Textile Museum Myers Room. This project discusses archaeological work done by the Slave Wrecks Project. There will be a discussion panel after the screening with Paul Dardullo, Steve Lubkemann, Gabrielle Miller, and Dulce Fernandes, their pictures are on the flier. The "Rituals in the Making" project first set out to study death and mourning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though their NSF grant was cut in April 2025, their work continues. It is now even more focused on the impact of mis/disinformation, and the processes of social forgetting and denialism.
