Teaching about the Mycenaeans in class today (hence the lapel pin with the “Agamemnon” mask) plus giving a free online lecture on “Homer, Hollywood, and Historical Context” for the AIA at 8:00 pm EST tonight (hence the “Trojan War” tie). 1/2

First day of classes for the Fall 2026 semester. Wearing one of my lamassu ties and a lapel pin featuring the mask of Agamemnon. Teaching Intro to Archaeology with 100 students as well as a class on Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations just for freshmen, with 75 students.
