A hot day for #Cycling. OK, not hot for folk that live in hot places but the NW of England wasn't designed for 28°C or at least I wasn't.
Two bikes, one old and green with more spokes than the #TDF peloton, one with a spotty bell and a Bosch motor. Old red sandstone castle (Lowther) in the background.

Tough run out on the #Bicycle yesterday. Sure, I'm super unfit but the head wind down Dentdale and up to Newby Moss Head was brutal. Despite all that it was a beautiful day.
Stone bridge, old farm house, railway viaduct and trees just coming into leaf, all framed by a deep, blue cloudless sky.

Another sunny day and another lovely day out in the #LakeDistrict #Cycling down the Winster valley, on to Grange over Sands then home via Holker Hall and Haverthwaite. 50 stunning kilometers.

After reading Sarah Halls 'Helm' (and 'The Carhullan Army' last month) we headed up to Little Salkeld for a circular walk taking in the Lacy Caves, St Michaels Church and Long Meg and her Daughters. A super day and nothing disappointed.

#Bikenite A2. Unfortunately not me! it's my partners father in 1947 but it's the earliest bike photo I have.

After yesterday turned out to be glorious I thought I'd missed my opportunity but today has been just as nice. Ride up the east side of Coniston the back via Cunsey (after a stop at the 'little ice cream shop' because, well you have to don't you.)
Dow Crag, Coniston Old Man and Weatherlam showing themselves above a gate into a sheep field, green bicycle in the foreground.

It's that time of year, we call it 'the trees at twilight'. Tree bones against a pink sky, whats not to like

#Cyling in #Cumbria before the frost. Lowick Bridge looking towards the Old Man of #Coniston. For obvious reasons we often stop here for a photo opportunity.
