That is a great one. My favorite is in Metroid games, when I enter a room or cross a boundary I can’t get back through. I immediately know I’m about to get an upgrade, and it’s quite a thrill.

One key point of creation is build a bridge between audiences and the artist’s intent and emotions. It draws humans to each other, both as fellow viewers and also connecting back to the artist, sometimes across hundreds or thousands of years. AI removes the humanity entirely.

When I started, I had to correct everybody, because they all thought I was wearing kilts. But I haven’t heard that in probably two years. I still get misgendered, sure, all the time. But they recognize that I’m wearing skirt, not a kilt. And that makes me smile.

Yeah, I don’t expect it’d be a very big group, especially if I pull from a local pool. But I’ve always loved the sound of men’s choirs, and I’ve never feel comfortable feminizing my voice. I wonder how many of us out there wish we could celebrate our voices.
