You have to reach the point where you think your story should end. For now, don't worry about the ending. Focus on the first steps your characters should take based on what you think they'd do. To get authentic interactions, refer to life. You can't predict it, but you can adapt, hopefully.

It up based on prior choices, events, etc. My advice, leave the ending undetermined so you don't get stuck. Who knows, maybe you'll get a better, more satisfying ending than before.

Although having a planned ending has its own problems. It means you have to commit to it no matter what happens before. So your character may have to do things out of character just to get to the correct ending path, so to speak. I basically don't have a defined ending in my head either, I just make

I make short stories in my head. Each chapter basically is a story of its own, at least that's how the style of mine is 🤔 I never thought of that I just sort of wing it as I go. It's like playing with toys only keeping mental tabs of the sequence of events that will eventually lead to the end.

For a while, I had a sneaking suspicion that the reason Monster Hunter Rise had a bias for the Long Sword, was because Onimusha Way of the Sword was in development. The free costumes you get in Onimusha are of Yomogi and Hinoa, specifically. Then there's the crossover art they had 🤔

One thing Onimusha Way of the Sword introduced was a fourth type of being. Dokyo is neither Genma or Oni. Upon her death she looked up at the sky and wondered why she was sent down and why they warped her body. She never reveals her face but her eye was briefly visible upon death.

I beat the game 🥲 There were onions all over my room. 20 long years and it was worth it. Also the Panda costume!! 😭 There were so many callbacks that only diehard fans such as myself would catch, and I loved every minute of it. One question was unanswered, what exactly was Dokyo? 👀
