It's odd reading that! In Canada a tumble dryer is almost a necessity! From November till April it is too cold to hang washing out - so the choice is either hang it indoors (if you have the space) or dryer. Here it's a surprise if someone doesn't have a dishwasher (how do they manage)!

Muslims don't believe in paying interest. I have a few Muslim friends, years back when I needed a small loan one of them found out, asked me how much it was for and INSISTED they'd lend it to me, interest free and repayments much lower than needed - I paid it back, in full, in six months.

One other thing I'll add: In Canada there hasn't been any transgender person charged and found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor (nor of sexually assaulting a woman in a washroom, change room etc).

Count of cases over 10 years revealed that, on a per capita basis about 3.8% of straight men had been charged & found guilty of sexual assault while only 1.8% of gay men had. Factor in that about 5% of the population is gay it made the number almost ridiculous (for chance of assault by a gay man).

Yes - but not for the USA, for Canada. First year law class our prof was trying to get us to drop our 'preconceived notions' & chose 'is a straight man or gay man more likely to be a pedo' to explain it. Show of hands: Most of the class thought that gay people were more likely to be pedos. con't

A portion of travel (to the USA) is business related - the person hasn't much choice (it's part of the job). I have heard many business folks say that aside from hotel and meals they no longer shop. Doing their bit while keeping their job.

We did, the final date (as verified by an anti-vax doctor) was Dec. 31, 2025. At that time we all turned into zombies - many don't realize their zombies, it seems to take time for the zombie effect to take place. It's very gradual and can take up to 60 years before the full effect is obvious.

I lived in the UK for many years. Lived in 5 different cities & towns and each one would be considered a 15 minute city. Many of my neighbors didn't have cars (back in the 70's most didn't have home phones either!) so being able to walk to shops was essential!

In Canada we also have national health coverage for all. It doesn't matter what ones income is they will still receive healthcare.
