Today listened to the first 2 albums by Get Well Soon… “Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon” (2008) & “Vexations” (2010). Get Well Soon is a solo project by German musician Konstantin Gropper, & those 2 albums are 2 of my all time favourites. I should probably mention them more.

Saw Blur live 4 times. The first time I saw Blur live was Wembley Arena… they were OK. The penultimate time was Brixton Academy… they were good. And the last time was the 100 Club, which was amazing and maybe the warmest gig I ever attended. Almost the opposite of my experience seeing Oasis.

On a similar note, I saw Oasis 3 times (I was living/working in “that there London” at the time: 1. A shithole in Kings Cross… I thought they were good. 2. Earl’s Court… they were OK. 3. At Wembley Stadium… I did not enjoy it at all. I will not be going next year.

Loads of people my age (old, but still just about mobile) in Blackpool today. Apparently it is 80s weekend… ABC, Go West, Kim Wilde, Toyah, Nik Kershaw etc are all due to perform. In 1986 it would be like going to a WW2 themed music weekend. Nostalgia sells tickets.

I have gone “shopping” and the guy stood a couple of metres to my right has his phone on silent placed down in front of him. It is vibrating continuously, with incoming notifications. He is either very good at social media or a government minister. I can’t think of another reasonable explanation.

Anyway, my art has taken a slightly odd turn. Glad it is a just a hobby and not my livelihood. Digital art created using an App that simulates real art materials, brushes, etc.

A “Paisley” type pattern, Dark & Light blue, with additional small patches of red, yellow and medium blue scattered across the light blue area.

The pattern was created by creating multiple layers, each of a single colour and then “scraping” away the colour on each layer to reveal the colour underneath.
