Just had an awesome weekend at 2 Belgian parks, first a day at Bellewaerde and today at Plopsaland Belgium / De Panne. So from unique and funky rides to one of the best coasters in the world. I’m exhausted but I’d do it again.

Man, this weekend was the first time I went to an opening day of a park, and in Walibi’s case, the opening of 2 new rollercoasters. Absolutely enYOYed the rides and the atmosphere. These rides are just pure fun with how they interact.

Pog, I've been somewhat considering an action cam for a little while now, but felt it'd be too much 'for the meme' (and as such, expensive) But recently I've been dabbling into taking a niche completely different from gaming more serious and... now I've ordered a GoPro with a chest + hand mount 😅

A bit of an impromptu visit yesterday to Walibi Holland to close out the year of theme parks for me, and I absolutely love what they have done for their Christmas event. Definitely worth the visit! Also an Untamed night ride is always worth it, and my first glimpse of YOY 🥹

On that note, I've been considering creating content surrounding my amusement park trips and am actually kinda excited for it. My intent was to create the first short (or two) tonight and see if it'll stick. Likely creating a new YouTube channel for it at least 🤔

Unexpected trip to Amsterdam, I'll likely buy a new phone while there (and join the cult). The shots Ely took at Efteling really impressed me with her iPhone, much better than my OnePlus. And since I'm recording more and more video's for content... May as well bite the bullet

Bosses aren't the issue for me, I may die once or twice because I haven't seen all they do, but the getting swarmed by enemies can really do me in. I do love that it makes it less of a mindless walk a-to-b kind of experience and you do have to mind your step a bit

I haven't had as much time as I've wanted to to play Path of Exile 2, but man, I'm dying a lot more than I thought I would. For reference, I'm only level 13, but some mobs just melt me. Like the poison crabs in the Hunting Grounds. Still, I'm having a blast. Building my monk around lightning

I know! I've been playing the Settlers league a bit, and it was definitely growing on me. Just the looming release of PoE2 (Early access or not) was holding me a bit back to fully commit to it. I did get some of the important stash tabs at that time, and will wait for a sale for the next 600 points

Geez, exercising again the past few days helped a ton in the diet. Normally I'd want to try going to the gym 3 times a week, but with how hectic things have been, I haven't really had the time. I did go last saturday and yesterday, and bam, weight went down to 95.3. 8.5 kgs down from my start

Also, apparently building a new couch burns quite some calories. I'm now down to 96 on the dot, so closing in on the 8 kilo's lost since starting the diet 😄 Gotta make sure I don't get too fat for rollercoasters! ...and to reduce snoring and improve general health, ofc :P

050 0

Grumpmeister @grumpmeister.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

Flurry, who is generally downstairs, isn't completely used to the idea of a new couch yet though. I keep finding him on his spot opposite to the couch, where normally he'd be sprawling somewhere on the (old) couch.

Grumpmeister @grumpmeister.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

It has been a few days! From having an upset stomach to receiving IKEA boxes throughout the week... last weekend I've disassembled and trashed the old couch and built up the new one. Quite a bit more seating space and some storage. It took quite some effort, but the result is worth it!

I know right? This time it looked quite a bit different though, I guess the lack of cocaine just got him drooly and sleepy instead 😂 And I guess I may have missed out on the munchies last time because he actually had to stay overnight at a vet then

000 0

Grumpmeister @grumpmeister.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

But at least there have been some good things this week as well; - I've been on a diet for 2 months and hit the 7kg milestone on thursday, going from 103.7 to 96.6kg. A bit more to go :) - Apparently I've now hit 69 coasters ridden with my recent Movie Park Germany trip. Shame #69 was The Bandit 😅

Grumpmeister @grumpmeister.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

So the boy was tripping balls, and eventually got the munchies because he kept asking me for more food (which also is a symptom for a dog that just had a seizure). That did keep me up all night at least from Wednesday to Thursday, at least it's nothing permanent...

100 0

Grumpmeister @grumpmeister.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

Besides that, Flurry had another drug episode. We caught him in a puddle of drool on the couch, and the initial thought of the vet-on-duty (since it was at night) was that he had a seizure. The day after we've had an appointment at our actual vet, and they suspect he ate something with drugs in it.
