3. Christian mother whose children attend private school
During her appearance on "We the People with Gates Garcia" podcast, Zacharia repeatedly mentioned her Christian faith. When discussing what motivates her to remain active in the political scene, she praised Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park, California, as an "amazing church" that
"stayed open" during the COVID-19
pandemic when state and county health orders barred indoor worship services.
Godspeak Church's actions led to Zacharia "getting involved in the church" and motivated her to decide
"I'm going to fight for this" even though
"culture's going to tell me I'm wrong; my government's going to tell me I'm wrong."

I looked up one guy. Here’s what he says. He was asked about Piker. Doesn’t seem like twitch bro has been a massive focus of anyone’s campaign. That would be weird.
This week I met with congregants from Beth Menachem Chabad in Newton. I listened to individuals describe specific experiences of antisemitism, including verbal threats and vehicular intimidation, vandalism, and ongoing insecurity at their places of worship. Government and society must address the re-emergence of this ancient hate through education, social media reforms, and leadership.
On Fox News Sunday this past weekend, I was asked about Hasan Piker, the popular social media influencer who has been campaigning with some Democrats. I rejected his rhetoric, including excuses for 9/11, venom directed against Israel and Jews, and his celebration of the murder of Charlie Kirk.
Afterwards, in a new video livestream, Piker said the following while placing the picture of a Jewish elected official behind him:
"If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone's going to come around and take action, not against the state of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews."
This bigotry has no place in the Democratic Party.
I reject it, as I rejected Graham Platner's. The Democratic Party needs to be able to reach young voters who are angry at the status quo. Viciously scapegoating Jews or Israel for American challenges is a toxic and self-defeating attempt to do that, which every Democrat should condemn.

Screen shot from article re. Mike Pompeo ties to nippon steel and the moonies.
“Five months after the July 2022 assassination of Shinzo Abe by the son of a Unification Church follower, Pompeo addressed the Second Conference of Hope for the Realisation of a Heavenly Unified World at the cult's headquarters in South Korea.
"In the wake of the tragic assassination of Prime Minister Abe, the Japanese Communist Party has been attacking the Unification Church. The JCP has alleged the church is engaged in corruption and is a threat to society and that it undermines Japan's interests. Nothing could be further from the truth. We must not allow this to happen," Pompeo said, according to a Unification Church transcript.
Pompeo's staunch defence goes against the findings of a yearlong investigation by the government of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida into thousands of allegations of social harm caused by the Unification Church and its offshoots, particularly through predatory and fraudulent fundraising. In October 2023, the government concluded that the
branch of the cult
was an antisocial organsaun and sought a court…”

Yes, let’s move beyond that. You’re just repeating yourself & avoiding a reckoning with the bigger picture. “…there might be another mechanism at play here, which is distinctly Canadian: a confidence, or "smugness," that Canada is "better" than the USA.” journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

“When our colleague assumed that there is no Christian nationalism in Canada because
"We're too educated," we wondered how the influence of Canadian Christian nationalism
organizations like Action4Canada and the power of TBA was invisible to our colleague, and perhaps other Canadians. Our argument here is that the mechanisms of identification
with Christian nationalism, as articulated by Miller (2022), allow individuals to support parts of the project without necessarily knowing or naming the project as Christian nationalism. And yet, there might be another mechanism at play here, which is distinctly Canadian: a confidence, or "smugness," that Canada is "better" than the USA.”

Screen cap of FBI press release: New Jersey Man Charged with Soliciting Destruction of Energy Facilities

Thursday, July 11, 2024

“"Andrew Takhistov was allegedly on his way to Ukraine to join the Russian Volunteer Corps when we arrested him on charges of recruiting an individual to destroy an electrical substation here in the United States in order to advance his white supremacist ideology," said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. "I am grateful to the
FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force for their exceptional work disrupting this dangerous plot."
"This complaint alleges that the defendant's posts referenced Adolf Hitler, encouraged violence against Black and Jewish communities, praised mass shooters, and discussed causing death and destruction on a large scale," said U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger for the District of New Jersey. "The defendant was allegedly enroute to join the Russian Volunteer Corps, which he described as specializing in assassinations, attacks on power grids, and other infrastructure sabotage, so that he could act on his violent plans. We will not tolerate these kinds of alleged terroristic threats, and working with our partners, we will always be ready to root out and bring to justice any
へ
who attempts to carry out these acts."

I was just looking at photos I have from a year ago. This was classic. Donald v. Fruit
Screen shot of article about Trump deposition.
Trump: It's worse than a tomato, it's other things also. But tomato, when they start doing that stuff, it's very dangerous. There was an alert out that day.
Dictor: Who were you speaking to when you said...
Trump: The audience.
Dictor: So you were speaking to the audience when you said if they saw someone getting ready to throw a tomato, just knock the crap out of them, would you?
Trump: That was to the audience. It was said sort of in jest. Buy maybe, you know, a little truth to it. It's very dangerous stuff. You can get killed with those things. ... / wanted to have people be ready because we were put on alert that they were going to do fruit. And some fruit is a lot worse than - tomatoes are bad by the way. But it's very dangerous.... they were going to hit - they were going to hit very hard.
Amazing, no?
There is a long history of American politicians being barraged by fruit. Here's the full - and fully epic - back-and-forth between Trump and Benjamin Dictor, an attorney representing the protestors.
Dictor: Okay. And you said that, 'If you see someone getting ready to throw a tomato, just knock the crap out of them would you.' That was your statement?
Trump: Oh, yeah. It was very dangerous.
Dictor: What was very dangerous?
Trump: We were threatened.
Dictor: With what?
Trump: They were going to throw fruit. We were threatened. We had a threat.
Dictor: How did you become aware that there was a threat that people were going to throw fruit?
Trump: We were told. I thought Secret Service was involved in that, actually. And you get hit with fruit, it's - no - it's very violent stuff. We were on alert for that.
Trump attorney Jeffrey Goldman: A tomato is a fruit after all, I guess.... It has seeds.

This is important! It’s about men and boys too. It’s time men paid attention to reproductive health and education. These are not “women’s issues”.
Screen grab from article:
“The male health module, according to the federal grant funding notice, includes an emphasis on understanding how testosterone is a hormone that is responsive to sleep, physical activity and environmental factors. Instruction must include the physiology of arousal, and address how "repeated or artificially stimulated arousal may affect neural development and behavior over time," seemingly referring to masturbation.
Testosterone has been a heavy focus of the Trump administration. HHS Secretary Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. frequently refers to lower sperm counts among men, including teen males, despite no scientific evidence backing up those claims when it comes to young men. He cites it as a reason for birth rates that have remained flat or lowered slightly every year since 2015, though experts say the lower national birth rate is actually because of the lower teen pregnancy and birth rates.
U.S. Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also announced last week that military men over the age of 30 would receive annual testosterone level checks, which doctors say could actually be counterproductive to military readiness and could risk infertility.”

From the article:

The dispute follows a pressure campaign from Concerned Women for America, a conservative Christian organization that has urged Irish dance officials to change their transgender participation policies. The group also circulated what it described as an IDTANA inclusivity statement, dated July 2022, that says the organization is "committed to preserving and promoting Irish Dance in an environment that is inclusive and free of discrimination and harassment." The statement says the organization supports a culture where dancers, families, teachers, and volunteers feel safe and respected "regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, income, race or sexual orientation, opportunities to learn and grow as dancers and people." It also says IDTANA is
"supportive of including all those who want to learn and or compete."

USAID funding has significantly contributed to the reduction in adult and child mortality across low-income and middle-income countries over the past two decades. Where do you think Donald wants to put the Women’s History Museum? Any guesses? Could these fuckers get any more obvious & pathetic? It just reeks of fear & desperation. Oh you’re dying & can’t afford healthcare? Well we kept women out of a museum about women & put it at the bottom of the Potomac…
The Smithsonian American Women's History Museum was first authorized by Congress in 2020, alongside a Museum of the American Latino. That second museum has stalled, as Democrats accuse Republicans of delaying progress by excluding it from the current bill on the table. Congress now holds the key to approve construction for both museums on the National Mall in Washington. The current version, amended by Republicans, also grants Trump the ability to designate an alternate location for the women's museum.
Despite the roadblocks to its physical construction, digital exhibitions from the women's history museum are available online now, as are classroom resources for teachers and a state-by-state guide of women's history in America.

It’s an interesting read. So much has gone wrong in the approach to autism. It’s insane. It’s got people’s brains and the system completely flummoxed.
Results
Researchers in our sample represented a group of participants that had already indicated some level of interest in producing knowledge about community engagement because of their prior participation in our survey. We found that this group, in their responses to our questions, pointed to specific examples of how engagement with community members, including autistic adults and children, service providers, and parents, shaped their research programmes in ways that mattered for the ethical implications of those programmes. This included changes in their thought processes, style of investigating problems, routine research practices, and research designs. Respondents explained that rather than simply informing researchers about alternative values related to autism or providing supplementary perspectives on research outcomes or dissemination of results, autistic or caregiver collaborators offered input that challenged and changed the researchers' prior assumptions about autism, beliefs about what research participation entailed, and ideas about how to obtain the most valid results.

Screen shot from attacked article:
“There is no religious right to marry a child. There is no parental right to shackle a child into an abusive marriage.
There is no judicial discretion worth preserving if the result is a child spouse who cannot enter a shelter, sign a lease, hire a lawyer, file for divorce or safely
escape.
The solution is simple: Minors cannot
marry, no exceptions.
Not 17 with a permission slip. Not 16 with a judge's nod. Not younger with a pregnancy excuse. Not "emancipated" on paper while still blocked from the basic tools of escape.
If Oklahoma can do it, so can California and every other holdout.”
