Somerville residents need your help. On Wednesday, September 30, a fire at 1137-1147 Broadway impacted 32 homes, and left 43 people displaced. Thankfully everyone made it out safely, but many lost everything.

I've trying to figure out how I feel about the furry circuit party scene that's proliferated in the last five or so years... I think mainly I'm concerned for the safety of young adults who are new to the area, inexperienced with parties and unwary of the world's dangers. I stay away for good reason.

This goes for seemingly benign stuff too. It's fine to check out of a one-sided or parasocial connection to someone who isn't reciprocating your attention. Those can really drain your self-worth and make you feel invisible, even though the other person isn't doing anything harmful to you personally.
