Ah yes! I started a little before that too. I love both versions of the Chaos Space Marine codex from that era as well.

I'm currently reading Heroes - Greek Legends Retold by Stephen Fry. The stories about Hercules, Jason and the likes told in a refreshingly entertaining way.

The Excelsior class and it's refits are my favourite ships in #StarTrek. Closely followed by the Nebula class. It was only logical to combine the two! Thanks to @ncc-60205.bsky.social I can see my U.S.S. Endeavour in colour for the first time!

I visited a local tabletop and board game store yesterday (not GW) and saw an awesome display piece. I forgot to ask the person at the counter who made it 😬, but I wanted to share it anyway with all the #Nerdlings out there.

The stage has loads of speakers and metal stage elements combined with the usual Ork "decorative" elements all made by hand.

I just rewatched Zardoz after more than 10 years since I watched it the last time. Apart from Connery's outfit there is not much that lives up to the "very weird movie" image it has. Yes it is very much a Art House movie, but it also is scifi and the story and idea behind it is interesting.

Finally a theme I can contribute something to! The majority of my 40k minis fits into the "old" category. Some of them even predate myself. Have a selection of them:
A 3rd edition Orc Blood Bowl team painted up in purple and yellow and with old orcish numbers on their shoulders.A 2nd edition Ultramarines captain.2 oldschool Rhino tanks. One of which salvaged and repaired with other parts and the other in nearly original state.
They are joined by a oldschool Whirlwind.
All of them painted up to be Blood Angels tanks. The old Wh40k regimental advisors (metal figures) and a Mordian sergeant painted and up to be a Imperial Navy team joined by a 3rd edition commissar.

Starting the weekend with a new design for my Star Wars weapons collection. The "Le Matt" slugger revolver comes with a integrated blaster! The energy cell stores enough energy for 4 powerful shots. With the flick of a switch you can go from 6-shooter to hold out blaster.

Today I can present 2 (3) new Star Wars blasters! The BlasTech AA52 Sniper and the CP33 Blaster. The AA52 is based on a French vehicle machine gun. The CP33 is based on a pistol from the company KelTec. It comes in 2 versions. The B-version has a switch to change power settings.

Needed a change from all the Star Wars blasters I was working on. @longfang.bsky.social always has nice projects he works on and so I decided to try my hand on a spaceship myself. So what if I used the LAAT/i, the ARC-170 and the Nu-class attack/transport shuttle to create a gunship?

The last few days have been busy at work. To compensate I spend a lot of time winding down while creating blasters for Star Wars. I finished 4.
A little Hold-out blaster based on the Hungarian Frommer Baby Browning (1912?). I added a inverted muzzle device of a AK74 and rear end of a Beretta 92 slide. The Beretta slide bit is the energy cell. It is supposed to be easily replaced. Just pull it out and plug in a new one.A blaster carbine, based on the FN 1900 with the front grip of a early FN FAL rifle and the stock of a later FAL rifle.
Note the little cover over the trigger. Slide it back and you get access to the socket for a power plug to recharge the carbine.A heavy blaster based on the Mateba MTR-8 with parts of its longer version. The grip was replaced with one of the Colt 1911 and I added a Leupold cope that is offset to the side. With a push of the release button between the grip and the trigger the energy cell (drum)infront of the tirgger gets pushed out to the right side.My take of a heavy blaster in the style of a wheellock pistol. I made the lock mechanism bigger to work as a gas canister on this side and a energy cell on the other side. The scope is based on the one used on the Mosin Nagant rifle. It sits in the middle over the barrel of the blaster, right between the canister and energy cell.
