Trophy #2 of the season this time with a UB version of oops. I was getting fed up with losing to things like double leyline of the void so I wanted the oracles. Decided to try FoW for prison/stompy matchups and even with the incredibly low U count (17 after boarding) it felt great in the matchup

I think it should be banned even though I play the deck The games are so fast and I have so much extra free time that I have time to reflect on myself as a person and I dont like that 😤 Id rather be forced to play slow control decks and distract myself from being able to think about my life choices

Definitely agree that as a hate piece it’s perfectly fine power level wise however. Just iffy on the fact that it’s a decent hate piece that also is an incredibly effective protection spell. It treads water in the same pool as veil of summer, but colorless and I’m not sure how I feel about that.

I would be curious to see if banning the most “egregious threats” would actually slow down the format enough to make these soft counters viable. How many cards would need to be banned to make this work? I think it would take more bans than just the aforementioned ones to get it like that.

Power level wise the card is probably fine, it just feels like grief where it (to me at least) promotes “unfun” play patterns that creates weird minigames

Might just be the types of decks we play ;) But really I’m not just a fan of the fact that to me it feels like the card promotes a style of “jamming” haymakers over and over again in decks such as mono red and mystic forge. It feels like a defense grid that can also disrupt other decks.
