Experts say now is an ideal time to get a flu shot, before influenza starts spreading widely. It's also a good time for vulnerable people to get vaccinated against another winter risk, RSV, and to get up to date on protection against COVID-19.

I think it's another extension of billionaire impunity. I doubt they'd hesitate to prosecute regular people whose AI agents did something.

Oh the law is super clear. Your responsible for what your computer programs do. The governments are being pressured not to enforce the law.

Just start up Ollama and hope for the best. If you've got a recent Mac, you can probably hack the government and blame it on the AI.

I harp on this all the time, but there is so much peer reviewed solid evidence that we benefit from small talk with strangers, knowing our neighbours, chatting with our baristas, etc. And I believe that our shift away from that stuff is at the root of all our antisocial behaviour right now.

Talking to strangers is good for us, and a growing number of places have started campaigns, events and programs to kickstart those conversations

Thanks. Not a fan personally. We've already seen this go wrong in the US and UK.

@senatorpaulasimons.bsky.social I'd wager a similar story took place in Canada. Tesla shouldn't be the source of data for the decision on whether FSD is safe but that's exactly what's happening everywhere.

It'd mean more if he wasn't part of the problem. Carney is destroying the mild senate reforms we got under Trudeau and is back to an omnibus bill strategy that's fundamentally undemocratic.

It's hard to tell but I think Scheer and Pierre have realized that being opposition leader is actually the best job. Not only is the house better, but you don't have to run the country.

Carney to the EU: "We believe that a strong economy is not an end in itself, but the means to a just society. We are committed stewards of our natural heritage. We believe that our prosperity grows when it is shared." I wish the Carney we hear in speeches was the Carney who governs Canada.

The interest cost is 1.25-1.6b since there's commercial borrowing included in the 35B debt financing. We're losing 500M+ annually to kill ourselves.

A good day to remind you that if Mark Carney wants investment in important things (i.e. the knowledge economy), he could just do it. But instead he's cutting those things in favour of massive military spending while soliciting foreign ownership over Canada's future.

There's no amount of money that solves cybersecurity in my opinion. You have to have enough employees to do all the hygiene just to get started. Everytime you buy something, it's a liability.

This is demonstrably, measurably improving the health of the people who live there. Most notably, it increases the respiratory *& cognitive* health of children. They literally do better in school. If this country really gave a shit about children, this would be at the top of the public-policy list.
