Another 2 years, another fantastic metroidvania from @kylethompsondev.bsky.social and brother Eric. These guys are just so good at making games and music. Well Dweller is a gem of a game and implore you to play it if you want a metroidvania that is cozy, spooky, fun and light on the difficulty.

Squak and Awe – Well Dweller Review
I'm always happy to play a game from the Thompson brothers. Since 2022, I have been playing really damn good Metroidvanias, and this week is another good one. This week is Well Dweller. Well Dweller is a 2D Metroidvaniafrom Kyle Thompson and Top Hat Games. The game was released on September 22nd, 2026, for all modern consoles and PC, and retails for $20.

I'm back on demo's because Bluesky and Twitter have had some good ones and this week is Sushi on Wheels from @GreeneRapture A super cozy game about owning and running a sushi truck. Honestly, the 30 minute demo flew by. Fun, simple gameplay loop with good customization options. Good demo.

Demo Days – Sushi on Wheels.
I decided to step back into the realm of demos because gaming Bluesky and Twitter pulled through with some good ones. This week I am relaxing and running a food truck that my grandmother left behind. This week is Sushi on Wheels. Sushi on Wheels is a cozy management game from Greene Rapture and Rogue Duck Interactive. The game is slated to release sometime this year for the PC.

This week is Woodo from @juliaprokhorova.bsky.social and Daedalic Entertainment. Not being dramatic but this is a game that you would want to experience. From the looks and sounds to the really heartwarming story, Woodo has everything that you would want in a puzzle game. A true feat.

Branching Out – Woodo Review
Another one of those demos that I played, really enjoyed, and knew that I needed to play the full game, and here we are. An insanely gorgeous wood-themed puzzle game about a young fox and her toxic addiction to technology. Woodo is a cozy 3D puzzle game from Tiny Monks Tales and published by Daedalic Entertainment. The game was released on September 16th for all the major consoles and PC, and retail for $17.

My First PAX – Sunday and Final Thoughts
After lots of walking around everywhere and going to talks and stuff, I decided to take Sunday and hang out with my wife around the city of Seattle and enjoy the rest of the convention. GOTTA GO TO THE SPACE NEEDLE This is where the fish get thrown, and the best mac & cheese is. No notes, the city of Seattle is a beautiful place.

I made it back from PAX West and i decided to write something up for it. I did not cover everything that I did because it would take forever. I streamlined it, and recorded a relaxed version of all that I did. Super fun, no notes and thank you @officialpax.bsky.social for the weekend badge!

My First PAX: Friday and Saturday
I have never been to a PAX event before, and, like I said, I applied for a media badge to PAX West, and I was granted a 4-day pass. I got the flight and stayed up until Sunday night. I am here to report back on everything I did during the event on Friday and Saturday. I am going to make it a little bit more digestible, but there will be a pretty relaxed video of me talking about the same stuff if you just want to watch.

I don't know much about the West Coast, so I need all the help I can get for PAX West 2026. Is it cold in September? Is Citypass worth it for a weekend? How do I keep track of all the games and media stuff? Who knows. I will figure it out when we get there.

Playing Vampire Crawlers from @vampire.poncle.games before has been the best decision i have ever made. The power fantasy/break the game mechanics make the game so appealing. The counting is fun and not difficult to master and the deckbuilding is fun. An all around all star video game.

Rhythm games and I have a pretty good relationship and UNBEATABLE from @dcellgames.com is a rhythm game that I was glad that I picked up. The music is original and SUPER good and the art direction is some of the best. It took SGDQ for me to play it and I am glad that I did.

Sometimes gaming Twitter can pull through, espcially this week with Sephiria from @TeamHoray.bsky.social I quickly played the demo and quickly knew that I was going to u the game. Good roguelike/lite aspects couples with cute and goofy buns makes an appealing game. I love it so much.

Anyway, this week is Sephiria Sephiria is a top-down action roguelike from Team Horay. The game was released onto the PC at the end of July 2026 and retails (at the time of this post, it's on sale 40% off)

One day I will wake up and see that @insomniac.games and Sony rereleased the Resistance series. Shooters are a little bland so I went back to have something called "fun" and came back with nothing but positive things to say. One day I will rebuy the third game

Quick Thoughts – Resistance: Fall of Man/ Resistance 2
I didn't have room on my shelves for my PS3, and so I plopped it on the carpet, plugged it in, and decided to play games that I was super fond of when I was younger. The time when all games had every kind of shade of gray in them. I am still a huge fan of sci-fi-based historical fiction, and I am here to tell you how well these two games hold up in 2026.

Somehow I got looped into playing a game about cutting grass, endless amounts of grass. I was feeling lazy and I welcomed the hefty grind. The demo was fun, I liked the incremental upgrades and how it translated in game. Great look, I just wish there was more than an hour of me cutting grass.

Demo Days – Grass Chopper
Sometimes I just download a demo, play it, and bear it. I think that this week's demo is one of those games. I thought it was an entirely different genre, but I think I still had fun, though the demo took me roughly an hour to complete. This week is Grass Chopper. I like the idea of thrifting solely because of the vibe of entering somewhere, looking at all the stuff, and smiling about its history, where it came from and what it was used for. Backlog week. I played Barrel Roll when the demo was released for Nextfest, and then I forgot about it. For a $5 roguelike "deckbuilder" it is quite fun, though there are moments of frustration. Lots of bullets and trinkets to mix and match to live the cowboy power fantasy.

Quickest Game in the West – Barrel Roll
I had a game fall through, and so it was the perfect time to play a game that has been on my backlog for some time. Nothing beats a cleaning game where when I clean something so well that the area explodes with colorful flora. That is Muri: Wildlands from @speldosagames.bsky.social a superbly adorable and fun cleaning game that hits the mark for me. I like the characters and I really like the water gun.

Huge fan of 3d Platformers and this week is Demon Tides from @fabraz.bsky.social a game where I took about 2 hours to learn the platforming and after that the hours flew by. Superb platforming with a bunch of side stuff to collect. Most likely my favorite game this year so far.

Platforming Queen – Demon Tides
I forgot how difficult it was to play a full-fledged game the week before it released. IT TAKES UP ALL OF MY TIME, which would have been regularly taken up by school. Regardless, this week I take a plunge in the cold ocean waters of a quite enjoyable, challenging 3D platformer. This week is my Demon Tides Review! Demon Tides…

Demo Days – Thrifty Business

Thrifty Business is a cozy management game from Spellgarden Games. The game is going to be released for the PC sometime in 2026! Instead of running my own online business selling stickers and such like in…

Chumpos Cleaning Stuff – Wyrmhall: Brush and Banter
Cozy games really hit the spot sometimes. I think practically every activity has been cozy-fied by the genre, especially cleaning. The simple act of rotating an item, picking up the appropriate tool, and clicking the specific section to clean is all I need to relax. This week is my Wyrmhall: brush and Banter review. Wyrmhall is a cozy cleaning game from…

I'm here for any kind of sports roguelike, and I am certainly here for @hangtimegame a volleyball roguelike that reminds me a lot of the flash games that I used to play wayyyy long time ago. The gameplay elements and co-op are fun enough for me to buy Hangtime! down the line.

Demo Days – Hangtime!
I don't know how people have enough time to work a 9-5, go to school, and have enough time to play and talk about a video game. It's tough, but I played a demo, had an absolute blast, and am all for talking about it. This week is Hangtime! Hangtime! is a volleyball roguelike from Leo Langlois. The game was released on Steam in November 2025 and retails for $15.
