Bridgit Connell | She/Her

I am a comic artist currently on the Lady Baltimore series from Dark Horse Comics, written by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
I fell in love with Inquisition years ago, and recently got back into it in 2025. Been making animations on my YouTube ever since, of both the world and also going thru the codexes and animating those!

Whos is your favorite Warden?
The scene with Clarel and Corypheus' dragon always makes me tear up. Her striving to redeem herself in the end.

Tell us about yourself:
Kata Kane, She/her
I am a comics artist/writer, illustrator and gdesigner based in Charm City (Baltimore!) I'm best known for my manga-inspired series ALTAR GIRL [altar-girl.com] which is a webcomic and ongoing set of graphic novels starring a magical school girl and a charming dead boy.

How did you get into Dragon Age:
DA and I started out as friends. I just thought it was a new game to try. The more I got to know Origins that fateful November of 2009 on the XBOX 360... I fell in love.
After multiple playthroughs, I eagerly awaited the subsequent games and their DLCs. and even celebrated their day-of releases. I really don't do that with other games. DA? They are the one.

It's like the only game franchise I think about even when I haven't played it in awhile. The lore, the choices... the character dynamics. I love to talk and connect with others who just "get it."

Who is your favorite Warden:
ALISTAIR. I said when I got into Dragon Age I fell in love, and I fell hard. What Alistair and I had was real. Charming, supportive, adorable, stupid funny AND witty funny. What a rare and wonderful man amidst all this darkness. IRL: Roses optional. No further explanations.

Hello! My name is Mariana, and I’m an illustrator who loves storytelling. Whether that’s books, movies, or videogames, I love seeing the creativity artists and writers bring to any form of media. While I went to school for animation, comics have become a new passion of mine and since then I’ve loved creating fan works for some of my favorite series.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
I first got into Dragon Age around 2020 when I saw a playthrough for Inquisition on Youtube. It caught my interest and I decided to buy it. After my first playthrough, I realized it only the third game and immediately started from Origins, and it's been my favorite franchise ever since.

Cynvii | They/Them

hi!! feel free to call me cynvii; I'm an (almost 30y/o) artist from not-so-sunny UK! I spend most of my free time rotating my OCs around in my head, playing lots of D&D - I'm currently in 5 active campaigns!! - or adventuring through Thedas (usually with the Inquisition, or causing chaos in Kirkwall). Other things I enjoy involve reading (give me a trashy vampire romance ANY day!!), replaying BG3 for the umpteenth time, listening to music (read: twenty one pilots on repeat), and giving into the whims of my feline overlords (cats), Olof and Dexter.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
I saw an old school friend make fan art of her Lavellan and Solas and wanted in on that heartbreak (we ignore that I don't think I've ever completed his romance)

How did you get into Dragon Age?
Some friends loaned me DA:O and DA2 about a year after DA2 came out. This was about 2012 or so? I was about to start graduate school so I didn't have an abundance of free time -- so it became something of a comfort franchise while I was trying to survive other Horrors in my life.

I like making art and writing stories and I've recently been getting into game development. I've been learning by making a small DA2 fangame for my favourite ship, Anders/Hawke.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
I asked my brother if I could borrow a game from him that he thought I might enjoy and he lent me his copy of Inquisition. I'd never heard of Dragon Age before, but I played it and really enjoyed it. A couple of years later I saw Origins on sale so I got that and then played through the games in order, which was when I became fully invested in the series and started making fanworks for DA2.

Hi, I'm Nen! A freelance artist from Poland that loves fantasy and romance. I've been a Dragon Age fan since 2010 and I've made many friends thanks to the series, including my best friend that I'm living with. We even have two cats together! I've been most fandom active around the Inquisition peak hype, but my love for the series never extinguished. All my Dragon Age OCs live in my head rent free.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
I was fantasy RPG seeking teenager in 2010 and I stumbled upon Dragon Age Origins on one of the torrent sites (I was poor kid, okay?). I downloaded it, played it, loved it, played it again and started sharing my love for it with friends at school and beyond. I have bought all the games legally by now and my love for the series is still here.

One of my mutuals on tumblr was super into it and every time she'd post about it I got more intrigued. Hetha, Her Calling Delayed

Hark: the Horde at Hossberg's gore-soaked gates,
And the peace-weary Wardens must listen at last.
Swords are swept and magic marshalled on both sides
'Till all is bitter-blood and burning flesh.

AmmoniteFlesh | She/They

I'm a big fan of body horror, sapphic romance, weird experimental forms, and pushing characters to the limit. I'm a hoader of books, hand-thrown ceramic mugs, and postcards. I have a deep and abiding love for fandom and transformative works in general.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
Dragon Age: Origins was on my list of video games for people who care about feminism published by the Mary Sue back in like 2010 or so. I liked video games and cared about feminism so I gave it a try, and I've been obsessed ever since!

Awhekate | She/Her

Hi, my name is Aleks! I'm a gal with many hats (artist, translator, crocheter, graphic designer, among others) but mostly my favorite thing is creating art! Thrilled to be part of this zine because the Grey Wardens as a faction compelled me from the start. Let's go get those darkspawn!

How did you get into Dragon Age?
Saw some friends discuss it on a Discord server sometime around 2018, ignored it completely, deciding to give it a shot months later and then getting fixated/obsessed since. I can't get out of here. Much like becoming a Grey Warden, you will hear its calling forever...

Whos is your favorite Warden?
This is such a tough question because I love all of them but... Alistair is such a classic fave for me. The dynamic he has with the Hero of Ferelden can be so different depending on your character plus I think he's a really cool introduction into the faction as a whole because he's learning things along the way too, there's so much you both don't know about!

Grey Warden Re-cruitment Interview, 9:37 Dragon

For a while, Amell doesn't speak. "If you want the truth," they sat at last, "I think you're better off getting as far away from the Wardens as you can."

Sam | He/They

My name's Sam, and I'm a writer and media critic based in New York. I love art that's corny and sincere, and also video games where I get a big fortress.

How did you get into Dragon Age?

DAO was the first game I played on my first-ever gaming PC in 2019, and I fell in love immediatly with that ugly, broken game full of freaks. Then I fell in love with DA2, an arguably even uglier game full of even more freaks. And the rest is history!
