ACTION ALERT: Support universal healthcare in 30 seconds!
**Time commitment: Less than 5 minutes**
Whole Washington needs your support to get two universal healthcare bills through the Senate Health & Long Term Care committee! **SJR.8206** and **SB.5947** have been scheduled for a public hearing on Thursday (1/29) at 8am.
**Here are some actions you can take to show your support and help them get through to the next stage.**
This page is primarily about **taking action** to support these bills. If you would like to learn more about what these bills do, please visit our **bills page**.
1. Register your position on both bills as PRO by 7am on Thursday 1/29 (MOST IMPORTANT)
Bills that get committee hearings allow members of the public to register their position as PRO, CON, or OTHER into the public record. Legislators take these very seriously as a critical way to estimate how much support a bill has and where it is coming from. **This is the easiest and highest impact way you can help a bill through the legislative process.**
**How to register your position into the public record:**
* * **Click the buttons below** to go to each bill’s sign in page
* **Select PRO** from the **Position** dropdown menu
* Add your contact information
* Under **Organization** you may list Whole Washington as long as your position is PRO. You may also consider listing another organization you are a member of such as a labor union, or something more general like “concerned citizen,” “small business owner,” “Medicare/Medicaid enrollee,” or any other form of personal affiliation.
* Click **Submit Registration**
