Labour must raise the personal tax allowance to what it would have been if it hadn't been frozen. It's the most pernicious hidden tax and unworthy of any government, let alone a Labour party supposedly on the side of working-class people.

Whenever an employer treated me fairly I worked harder for them, and when they treated me unfairly I did the opposite. Pay people fairly and treat them well and productivity will rise. Pay them poorly and treat them badly and productivity suffers. If UK productivity is down, the answer is simple.

Instead of grovelling to attract often, dodgy, foreign investment. The UK should encourage UK entrepreneurs and have more government investment. And before the right, scream, 'soviet-style managed economy, they should look at China and what government investment and subsidies has done to boost them.

Every time the Tories privatised a utility we were promised lower prices, but what we got were much higher prices. It was exactly the same with Brexit. And yet they still persist in saying privatisation was a good thing and the fact that prices are higher has got nothing to do with privatisation.

Like Starmer, I don’t believe Badenoch is all that interested in politics or doing good for the country and its people. I think she's into it more for the fame and the 'look at me' factor. She could just as easily have got what she wanted by going on a TV reality show.

All governments come down hard on benefit cheats but never touch the rich tax cheats. Nobody advocates cheating the system, but I suspect most 'benefit cheats' are just poor people who can't afford to pay their bills and feed their kids. I doubt many choose a life of looking over their shoulder.

The divide between the haves and the have not's increased substantially, and now in-work benefits and food banks are the norm. The rich believe in poverty wages topped up by the state. And subsistence-level benefits for the unemployed. Compassion is alien to them. If you're poor, its you own fault.

Getting people to eat less meat would be a very good thing. But how could it be achieved? Higher prices would mean only the rich could afford it. The only other way would be to ration it. But how that would work in practice I don't know.

I would like to see every single US base out of Europe. We also need a European defence agreement to take over from Nato which is basically an extension of US power. I'm not convinced the US would help defend Europe if Russia launched an attack on a Nato country.

Protests in Spain at the housing crisis caused by unaffordable private rents should be warning to the UK. Private equity buying up housing stock and charging exorbitant rents is a recipe for disaster in the housing market. Rent controls and a ban on private equity buying housing stock is needed.
