How'd I get into RPGs? I was an unapologetic 12-year-old geek with difficulty acting "normal," and fell into a small group of like-minded comrades, and someone put a copy of Teenagers From Outer Space on the lunchroom table.

It's like, what if D&D 5e and Into the Odd were blended together and published as small hard-cover books that could be concealed under a shirt. Quicker playing, thematically flavorful, and no to-hit rolls in combat.

Here’s my nuanced take on RPGs: I wanna be playing more RPGs. I want multiple different games running with different people all with their own nuanced takes on RPGs. …and not have ANY of those games be D&D or its direct clones. I make an exception for Nimble.

I guess to someone whose brain has withered to the size of a raisin dusted with Cheetoh powder, LLMs _would_ appear to be a Super Intelligence. To the rest of us not beholden to soulless tech companies though, it is still an insane algorithm.

Yes, I understand super-long anime titles are running rampant, but shortening "転校生の清楚可憐な美少女が、昔男子と思って遊んだ幼馴染だった件" to "Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her" sounds terrible. It should at least be "The Beautiful Transfer Student Was My Childhood Friend Who I Thought Was A Boy."

DO IT! Best mech game I ever played was powered by Cortex (Weis era) where my ship commander PC became the bad guy to the mech pilot PCs because he followed regulations and protocol instead of feelings and drama.

My wandering thought experiment of the evening: an RPG where you make seemingly normal, mundane characters, but each session the GM randomly rolls a different set of rules for that game, and the players must navigate the adventure while trying to understand how things work. #justlikegamechanger
