Shoving innocent artists who have repeatedly and vehemently spoken out against generative AI before an angry crowd looking for permission to be nasty, just because they were the victims of someone else lying about AI, actually sucks.

The voice acting is AI-generated! Except the team wouldn't have had 2026-quality voice generation in 2024, and the voice actor is credited by name. These other images are AI-generated! Except AI-generated images didn't look like that in 2024, and it was clearly, visibly, obviously photobashing.

I was there when all this drama originally went down in April. The gist of it is: an asset the team purchased with the understanding it was human-made turned out to be generated, which people took as permission to start accusing every single slightly awkward thing of being AI.

I generally like this page, and have used their mega list to help me make informed decisions on purchases, but I've seen some posts like this that are questionable. The dev paid money for an asset that they later learned was AI-generated. They replaced the asset within hours of learning about this.

I switched to Firefox because of Chrome's nonsense, now I switch to Waterfox because of Firefox's nonsense. It was quick and painless. I just had to sign into my Firefox account, and it was available on both Linux and Android. Anyway, the article is good even if you don't want to use Waterfox.

For me, if I simply must have a new major release, it's going on a 6-month wait list. Sneaky AI use seems to get exposed within that time frame. Otherwise, I've found a quick social media check is usually good enough to sus out AI use from a smaller team. Like Misskatonik said, just be mindful.

According to Steam Replay, 40% of all users' playtime was in "Classic Games", released 8 years ago or older. 44% was games released 1-7 years ago. That is without boycotting. Not buying games that use AI is very easy and doable, actually, the average user is already doing it accidentally.

In my experience, approved means insurance approved it, but it hasn't been filled yet. I usually get a separate message when it has been filled, however every pharmacy I've used has been somewhat inconsistent about sending the filled message. Calling is the only reliable way to check if it's ready.

One last thing before I get ready for bed. The piece I finished at the intensive also got me thinking about other things I like to do so I made this! Hope you like it!

I saw someone make Old Bay ice cream once, and ever since then I've wanted to make everything bagel ice cream. Ideally it would have a chewy streusel swirled throughout, to mimic the chew of a bagel. Maybe also cream cheese as a flavor base.
