Cowboys again. This time one of our boys has lost his boots. Standing in a field of long grass the cowboy points towards the ground and shouts back to his colleague, “Lil bone people got muh boots.” This makes no sense to the other cowboy who sits atop his horse away from the action. He responds, “Lil wut?” Sure enough in the foreground we see a squad of little bone people scampering through the grass with the stolen cowboy boots. They’re thrilled. How the bone people got the boots off the cowboy is unclear.

Artist’s note: I tend to draw drawings from the same perspective (straight on) most of the time. This idea came about when I was goofin around trying to draw a character from a lower angle. I like that the story unfolds with the foreground, mid-ground, and background all working together. There’s a draft of this one included in the Spooky Pants book. Coming out next week!

I think Dead Space would make an incredible film, series of films, or TV series. The world is rich, both in its sci-fi and its mysticism. It gives me The Expanse vibes, but with darker themes that explore corporate greed, organized religion, and cosmic horror.

I LOVE survival horror games. Resident Evil, in particular, is a formative series for me. However I'm not as versed on Silent Hill, and have not played a sizable chunk of that franchise. As we go into spooky season Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill f are on-deck for me! (Townfall likely after!)

One of my favorite pieces from my new book, Spooky Pants. Coming out this October.

A small cabin in the snow surrounded by trees. Two cabin people stand outside holding mugs of hot cider. One of them shouts out, “Big Fella, we got hot apple cider happening over here.” On the other side of the page we see Big Fella, a massive spider emerging from the forest.

Artist’s note: The spider only has 6 legs.. I made a mistake. However, I did read that some spiders can lose their legs in battle so maybe that’s what happened. Also, this drawing was probably directly inspired by the game Limbo. I love the art direction in it.

I'm going to get alternate-timeline-y on this one...as much as I enjoyed playing The Old Republic when it came out, I would rather have seen the story continue as part of KOTOR 3. TOR continues on from what the first two establish...but it gets way too convoluted. A streamlined KOTOR 3 is the dream.
