Also important to remember, Beane picks who makes the 53. Head Coach picks who plays on game day. Coaches have influence for sure but the ultimate decision maker on the 45-53rd player to make it, hasn’t changed

I think we just have different definitions of what the 45-53rd players are. They’ll be special teams players and backup OL like they always are. Those names change 50%-ish every year (some more, some less). This year will be a touch more but who the backup Safety, LB, WR6, TE4 will…

Roughly $11-13M depending on calculation of some 2025 incentives (the net of achieved vs missed) carrying over that looks like $3M+ were achieved more than missed It will be easy to get to $25-$30M in usable cap space

Great thread from @gregtompsett.bsky.social. A lot of emotion/shock from Bills Mafia after letting go of McDermott, and rightfully so considering what he’s meant to this franchise and city, but I feel like many fans are coming around to these same conclusions after the dust has settled.

Good 🧵. This week sucked; I am ready for some optimism. I don't agree with the "playoff wall" point, but it comes down to how I define success. I enjoy getting to the playoffs year after year. The fact that it ends in heartbreak most of the time is the nature of the beast. No one wins every year.

- I hope they allow Josh to be a part of the process but honestly not that much decision making influence. They need the right coach, not just who Josh likes the most. Someone who evolves the base play calling for a schematic advantage THEN Josh can create as needed
