I normally give the crows and Blue Jays peanuts, but it's the coldest day of the winter so far, so I tossed out some bread crusts. I think an occasional carb is ok when they are burning a lot of calories. 🪶

I almost threw this mug out. It had a thin spot and started to buckle, but I decided to fire and glaze it anyway. I think it turned out ok! #pottery

On the right, the mug has had a handle attached and has been glazed a speckled green. The folds have caused areas of deeper green where the glaze has pooled a bit.

I enjoy pottery, not because I'm a good potter, I'm ok at best, still a beginner. I enjoy it because it requires the perfect amount of concentration for me - continuous, but not super intense. And I get to make presents for friends!!

We were visited by this beautiful Red-tailed Hawk a couple of days ago. 🪶

In the cemetery where I like to walk, there is a spot at the edge of the property overlooking the river that is reserved for stillborn babies. It is both sad and heartwarming in a way. I wonder if there are similar spots where @cait.bsky.social works? (name blurred for privacy)
