Trump's attacks on our civil liberties didn't come out of nowhere. The groundwork for his Orwellian surveillance state was laid by the post-9/11 PATRIOT Act. Only one Senator at the time had the foresight to see what it would unleash.

In Iran, more than 1,200 people have been killed by Israeli and American strikes, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society. At least 850 people have been killed in Lebanon and 13 have died in Israel. Thirteen U.S. service members have been killed, and two more died of noncombat causes.
