It’s not “zero risk” when they amplify this both sides nonsense on platforms that reach millions of followers, some of whom live in states where their vote really matters.

The ICE agent who shot Araujo in a Houston is named GREGORY FEATHERS. Make sure everyone knows.

I like that in becoming a nazi, you get glowing coverage as a brave iconoclast, and then when you stop being a nazi, you’re get glowing coverage as a brave dissident. Money coming and going. Only way you lose is having normal opinions like “racism bad” bsky.app/profile/trac...

Hold on, a cable knit AND a turtleneck? Are you a bear going into hibernation? (If so, I am jealous.)

Cable knit. That’s hardcore.

It's not so much that these maps, like all maps, are flawed. It's more that they are granted a great deal of authority. People aren't reading maps--they're just listening to directions. They're basically turning off their own cognitive maps.

Plenty of people have gotten lost *because* of cell phone maps. Google "death by GPS."

...expectations, until very late in the school year. It's extremely difficult for a parent, especially at a grade level that low, to know what constitutes sufficient progress. And her mom wasn't in the least bit disengaged.

Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
I can say from my experience with New York public schools that it is absolutely possible to be engaged and not understand expectations. A friend of my daughter's repeated first-grade because the school didn't get around to telling her mom (a single parent) that the kid was behind...(cont.)

I can’t believe we’re still doing this “don’t vote for Democrats” stuff.
020
Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
I don't think criticism is bad. What irritates me is people who take coy positions like "I don't want the Republican to win, but I want the Democrat to lose." It's a two-party system. Either you decide to enable fascism or you don't.

Biden's foreign policy position regarding Israel was the same as other presidents, going back decades.
000
Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
If you really think Biden would've started a pointless war with Iran, I don't know what to tell you.

Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
At some point, "neoliberal" became a free-floating signifier to describe things and people progressives dislike.
020
Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Yeah, I remember that, too.
010
Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Yeah, good thing Trump won. Now there’s no more genocide. Biden was so cozy with Netanyahu that he might’ve started a war with Iran.

I know, and I never learn. I’m just fascinated by some of the things people latch onto, like this memo I haven’t thought about in ten years. And Biden actually did address some progressive concerns, but they never credit him.

I thought you said I’m not worth talking because I’m a “troll.”

Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
I think people blow this way out of proportion. The memo named Trump, Ted Cruz, and someone else who I forget. That wasn't unreasonable. If you want to blame her for a misstep, the campaign skipping Wisconsin was a much bigger blunder. Or blame James Comey.

Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
I don't think any reasonable person blames anyone for criticizing the Dems. Criticism is good. We're talking about people who encourage people not to vote for Dems.

I think you're trying to paraphrase Lincoln, but this analogy really doesn't work.

Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 15/09/2026
And yet you engage—repeatedly. Also, nobody’s asking you to apologize.
000
Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 15/09/2026
You’ve been pretty clear about what you think—I mean that as a compliment, btw—so I don’t know what your problem with the word position is. Calling someone else’s read on all this an act of self-soothing, let alone a “bizarre” one, is just unnecessarily insulting.
100
Greg Milner @gregmilner.bsky.social · 15/09/2026
Calling that a “bizarre form of self-soothing” is like saying your position is a bizarre form of self-loathing. And I say this as someone who’s more than willing to consider you’re right.

I think people are taking the wrong message from this. I hate these people, too, but the point is that smiles or laughter in an isolated moment reveals nothing. And a point I think should me emphasized is that it was 4 hours of listing names. How do people expect those there to comport themselves?

Presidential pronouncements matter. Anything a President says is potentially world-altering. These sorts of deranged tweets should be covered as news.

People are so hung up on this idea that McConnell is once again "getting away with something" that they can't (or won't) see how the current situation helps us.

Maybe. But he can’t fill a seat that isn’t vacant.
