I almost never use a delivery service anyways. It’s cheaper, the restaurant doesn’t have to pay a cut, and the food usually hotter when I get it home.

Improving compliance required creating air-gapped environments without human interaction.

Wrote about Apple's clever answer to the child safety lobby: instead of sacrificing everyone's privacy by making us upload IDs to app stores, create an API to pass along an age range from devices to developers. Child advocates and privacy folks I spoke to like it www.platformer.news/apple-age-as...

Alex Stamos, the chief information security officer at SentinelOne and a lecturer on content moderation issues at Stanford University, told me that Apple’s API-based approach was far preferable to some of the more invasive measures proposed by state legislatures.

“I hope that state legislators update their laws or proposals to recognize this as the best balance between free speech, privacy and child protection,” Stamos told me. “Requiring adults to show ID to use the open web is, frankly, un-American.”

Statement from the Obamas: "Maranatha Baptist Church will be a little quieter on Sundays, but President Carter will never be far away – buried alongside Rosalynn next to a willow tree down the road, his memory calling all of us to heed our better angels."

What an interesting story about Jimmy Carter before being President. He cleaned up after the first nuclear meltdown.

We DO NOT throw perfectly good food away in this house. We put leftovers in a Tupperware & let it go bad, THEN throw it out!

Just experienced the most San Francisco thing: I got stranded behind a Waymo being molested by a naked homeless guy. Of course, Waymos being very submissive cars went ahead and let him use it.

Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved. We need more shows that look ahead and find goodness.

Do packing materials make you mad? When I receive a giant box of styrofoam packing materials now, I get highly annoyed. How am I supposed to get rid of these? I prefer the shipper spend a bit of extra effort to use recyclable plastic packing materials.
