Perfectly said. Constructive criticism being replied with accusations of "not supporting the player" have been a decade-long social media strategy of a subset of fans. Years ago on that other platform, I used to take them seriously.

Hardly a surprise. Miserable job performance. In what should be a golden age for the league - the turmoil, controversies, and divisiveness has gotten out of control. Would have never happened with a stronger, more capable leader.

In isolated matches teams can play well and drop points or play poorly and win. It happens. The concern is Liverpool have looked absolutely terrible in these opening weeks. Little evidence to suggest it changes other than faith and the silly theory "it will take time to gel under Iraola"

It's not just the results. If we had played quality football and drew these 2 matches, it would be disappointing, but reason for hope. We have played absolutely terrible football, deserve no more than the 2 points we have, and have holes in several areas. Concerned for sure.

My super-simplified call for this season. All comes down to two. If Isak and Wirtz have great seasons, #LFC can contend and be no worse than 2nd. If either of them are mediocre, we will miss top 5.
