We all suffer from pressure to publish...and there's plenty of inappropriate requests, but this was so silly, I thought I'd better laugh not get angry with whatever AI has paired my forest and hedgerow work with surgery & anaesthetics!
A request from a publisher to publish a paper "Structural diversity and biodiversity of forest and hedgerow in  areas managed for shooting across the UK" in the International Journal of Surgery and Anaesthesia Research.

The earliest ever egg-laying in the 80 year long study of Great Tits in Wytham Woods happened this spring. Our first egg was laid on 23 March this year which beats the previous earliest record by 3 days. We've seen a shift of ~16 days in annual average egg laying date since the 1960s
