At 7? Just awful. I can remember being a similar age when one of my primary school classmates lost his Dad. We had to write 'my news' every Monday and he wrote about his Dad. Our teacher read it and said 'couldn't you find something happier to write about?'

My mum lost her brother at 18 and her dad at 19. She technically wasn't a child but it impacted the rest of her life immensely. In turn, it impacted on me and my sisters. I'm sorry you were so badly let down.
