Abortion rights are human rights & while the DUP can delay the lighting up of City Hall, that doesn't negate the need to still mark International Safe Abortion Day.

The residents of the Garvaghy Road have a right to live in peace. That shouldn't be a controversial thing to say. 1/4

People don't just fall through the cracks. Sometimes the cracks are left there on purpose. Underfunded mental health services. Poverty. Homelessness. Isolation. Discrimination. Years-long waiting lists. A benefits system that punishes disabled people for being disabled. 1/4
Green Party Northern Ireland flyer. Purple and teal bold text reads: 'People don't just fall through the cracks. Sometimes the cracks are deliberately left there. Underfunded mental health services. Poverty. Homelessness. Isolation. Discrimination. Waiting lists. A benefits system that punishes disabled people. A society that tells people to be resilient while systematically removing the things that make resilience possible. Suicide prevention means more than crisis lines. It means changing the conditions that make people believe there is no way out. Today, we remember those we have lost. And we keep fighting for a world where fewer people are left asking whether they can survive it.' A purple and teal suicide prevention awareness ribbon sits beside a helpline list: 'If you're struggling, please reach out. Lifeline: 0808 808 8000 (free, 24/7). Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7). What a way to kick off the week! Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann has landed in Belfast for the very first time, and the city sounds and feels completely alive with it. Music spilling out of every pub, dancers in the streets, and a genuine buzz you can’t fake. 1/4

Yesterday, the Green Party & Queer Greens were proud to stand alongside our community at Causeway Pride. It was a fantastic day, full of joy, solidarity and resilience, a reminder that Pride belongs everywhere, not just in our biggest city. 1/4

White seafront buildings and a fairground ride are visible in the background under a blue sky.

Saturday night was a tragic reminder of why Pride is both needed and a protest. We stand with those affected by the Berlin Pride attack, and with the wider LGBT+ community. We call on everyone to challenge hate wherever they see it, and to help build a world where people can live free from fear.

A dumped car has been left in the River Lagan for years, just 10 minutes from the council chamber, while agencies pass the buck. We reported it, but instead of removal we got excuses. That’s not acceptable. 1/3
A social media graphic showing three photos of a rusted, abandoned car submerged in the River Lagan, surrounded by algae and riverside vegetation, with the headline “THE LAGAN IS NOT A DUMPING GROUND” and “GET THE CAR OUT OF THE LAGAN!” plus Lagan Valley Greens and Green Party Northern Ireland logos at the bottom.
