you can love a character and still admit when they're wrong. we love Shadow but we can acknowledge his flaws (he has none) and we can hold him accountable for his wrongdoings (he has never done anything wrong in his life) and call him out on his actions (which are always correct)

I mean it wasn't particularly difficult per say, but I felt like things were less skewed towards the players' direction overall compared to Reload, which hands out things a lot more easily, including the optional buffs for the characters.

It's totally fair to feel that way, especially if you're more of a fan of how Persona 5 handled things. What I particularly preferred about the original is the difficulty, in FES I really felt like I had to get the most out of battles, this remake having the theurgy ability really undermines that.

Visually I think it'a fantastic, but overall I'd still say I preferred S1. the quick pace hurt a lot of the narrative choices in S2 imo, I think it made certain character choices not hit as well as they could have, or be too sudden, but I'd still say I had a good time with the season overall.

I mean plot contrivences will always exist in stories since they are made by people and didn't actually happen, but I do feel like good enough writing can still mask that feeling a lot of times when the effort is there, but yes, suspension of disbelief will always exist for that reason lol.
